Caritas, Friday Evening
Another week, another shift at the bar. This week, Fjord was braced for weirdness, since it seemed as though it had been going around the place. He looked around for wayward spaghetti, tried the taps to make certain the beer was running as beer... Nah, it was all good.
It wasn't until he pulled out a glass to fill it for the first customer of the night that he had to pause to squint into it. It had been empty when he reached to pick it up, but the moment he had?
"Calamari...?"
He tried another glass, and it filled up with fried squid pieces, too. And that set off a hunt around the bar to try to find something he could fill with alcohol instead.
Fishbowls. Apparently tonight was going to be Fishbowl Friday, whether people wanted them or not.
Caritas is open. Help yourself to a nice tall glass of squid.

Fjord shrugged and popped a piece of calamari into his mouth.
Eh, more for him.
"You figure they wouldn't melt? Or is that half the point? Candied whiskey?"
Speaking of, fishbowl of whiskey incoming, Fenris.

He nodded his thanks and curled his arms around the fishbowl possessively. Or hugging it. One of those. "I'm going to need a straw."
He wasn't going to try picking it up and drinking from it directly. It might spill and that would be a waste.

Fjord just chuckled as he reached for a straw and then plunked it right into that bowl.
It was green.
"And there you go," he replied. "Enjoy."
no subject
With a smirk, he wrapped his lips around it and sucked. Mmm. Mainlining whiskey.

Fjord opened his mouth for a moment. And then shut it again. And then just kind of gave Fenris The Look.
You know. That one.
He could see your brain doing terrible things, elf.

Fjord just rolled his eyes, and then reached into the straw jar and pulled out a yellow one instead, passing it Fenris' way.
"You're incorrigible, you know."
In case he wasn't aware.

He behaved sometimes.

"Bored? Hardly," Fjord chuckled. "I'd just think you were up to something."
no subject
He sipped his whiskey. For a value of sip that was as much as he could inhale through the straw at one time without taking a breath.
"We should do something fun this weekend."
no subject
"Now, when you say it like that I start to worry," Fjord noted, still smirking. "What sort of fun did you have in mind?"
no subject
This would end well.
no subject
"You know... that does sound like a good time?"
Fjord was easily enabled when it came to boats. So sue him.
no subject
A boat somewhere. Unattended. Again. It had worked out so well the first time.
no subject
"We aren't going to run the belly of this one up into the sand, are we?"
He could hope not.

"I have faith I can manage," Fjord chuckled. "Try me."

Probably be a good idea to sort that one out before they stuffed her into a boat.

"I suppose we'll find out." A pause. "You know we're not stealing this hypothetical boat, right?"
Fenris, he was a sailor. One of his specialties was securing free passage on boats and ships. That... probably extended to just asking nicely if they could borrow the damn thing.
no subject
He wasn't entirely serious. Watching Fjord negotiate to 'borrow' a boat would also be fun.
"Why aren't we stealing the boat again?"
no subject
That came later.

Even while he smirked.
The goal was to not become a pirate. Naturally.
