Caritas, Friday Evening
Fjord was actually in a pretty decent mood as he showed up for his Caritas shift tonight, a bandage wrapped around one bicep, looking to just settle in behind the bar for a nice long evening of pouring drinks and chatting with good people.
What he got was Tino giving him a once-over, and then informing him that he was going to teach him the tried-and-true trick to a successful juggling act.
...
After they cleaned up the glass and Fjord had informed Tino he wasn't allowed to throw anything that wasn't made of plastic for the remainder of the evening, both bartenders took their places behind the bar, ready to serve the thirsty folks of the island.
Happy Friday.

She could have paid for a beer of course, but she wouldn't want Fjord to think she wanted to keep flowers from him. Or, as she had listened to the radio, that she threw it away.
She hated that holiday. It was a good thing that it was over. Sort of. She still had flowers än a sword.

"A beer it is," Fjord replied with a wry grin, reaching for the flower (tucking it behind his ear) and then for a glass. "The usual this week?"
no subject
She needed a beer and the nice view that went with it didn't hurt.
no subject
"Alright, then," Fjord replied, pouring her beer and then sliding it over to her. "That kind of day, is it?"
He was not entirely without sympathy, at least. There just wasn't much of it.

would taketook a bit of an unexpected turn. Not necessarily a bad one, but clearly one that was still a bit on her mind. "What's the good news today?"no subject
"So far, the good news is that Tino's actually worse at juggling than I am," Fjord replied, smirking faintly. "Not," he added, "that I should be bragging about that at all. Apparently some things aren't meant to be juggled."
Like warlock pact weapons.
"And yourself?" He was already reaching to pour her ale. "How goes it, Amaya?"
no subject
Unless he wanted to unsuspectingly set off all the booby traps she'd spent the afternoon putting up.
...it had been interesting day.
no subject
"Let you know first?"
Amaya. Amaya, you were getting a bit of a faintly concerned side-eye, there. He slid her ale toward her.
"You gonna be, uh, out or something?"

"I'm not usually one to say this," she said, "but I think you might owe me one of these drinks after today, Captain."
no subject
"What happened?"
Her concern was a little selfish too. If someone would come at her with an axe she preferred to be warned.

Plopping her ass on her usual bar stool she thumped the thermos on the counter. "Bring on the whiskey!"
[warning of sp cuz I went outside and now my hands are made of aches from the cold.]
no subject
"Whiskey, I've got," Fjord replied, pulling down some of the bottles they'd actually approved of last week. "Let's work our way through this, shall we?"
no subject
no subject
"I'd be surprised if it can't," Fjord replied, but made a 'hand that here' gesture to the thermos anyway. "But let's find out."
Where his wisdom stat had failed him yesterday, constitution would carry him through today.

"I owe you a beer," Fjord agreed easily. He wasn't even going to ask for the flower back. "How goes it today, Beau?"

"Still green, still attached," Fjord reported, lifting his arm and flexing just to demonstrate both, apparently. "Just needed to sleep on it, apparently."
Seriously, never underestimate the power of a long rest.

"Fjord. It's raining boredom." It was warm and sunny outside. "I need a beer, please."
no subject
"Getting some rehearsing in for the next club meeting, are you?"
See Fjord. See Fjord reach to pour a beer.
A decent one, even!
