Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [03/07].

With a bit of a pitstop on his way into the shelter, Sidon had come in a bit late that day, with the intention, of course, to make up for it by staying a bit later, as well. But it was a good thing he'd arrived when he did, because it would seem there was a bit of mischeif afoot.

One of the cats had gotten it into his mind to be quite clever and sneaky by trying to break into one of the cages holding some mice; the mice, knowing full well what the cat had intended, would have none of this potential dinner nonsense and made quite the run for it, which, in turn, had snagged the attention of all the other cats. The mice were excellent hiders, as well, while the cats were proving to be quite deft at avoiding being wrangled, leaving Sidon to be caught in the middle of a literal cat-and-mouse game of trying to time things just perfectly so that he might manage to snag up a mouse or a cat in the bursts of activity where one tried to make a break for it and the other went charging after it in hot pursuit.

Yes, he would definitely have his work cut out for him today, but his mood and his energy was already bolstered from the day, so it was work he was happy to pursue. It certainly made the day go by much quicker...though one might argue it had passed him by almost too quickly.
