Jonothon had had mixed feelings on Thursday when, in the wake of the random shifting, his last shift from fire-to-face-to-blue-to-woman-to-face-to-fire had left him... well. On fire.
On the one hand? On fire. Everything that meant.
On the other hand? No more waiting for the other shoe to drop. And it would have dropped eventually. It always did. At least this way he didn't have to traumatize any X-kids back home by getting into a fight and blowing his damn face off to protect them.
So, from where he stood, he just about broke even. Or that was at the very least the face he was going to wear for the world as he settled in with his guitar in the music shop and started to play.
The world kept on turning.
Always did.
