The Perk; Sunday Afternoon [03/31].
Sonia had pretty much spent most of the morning cleaning this strange new gorgeous and perfect apartment from top to bottom; she liked to have things to do, after all, and it also gave her the opportunity to stumble on a few hints about whose apartment it was, though it didn't really help her figure out why she was there. It did give her some...interesting thoughts, though. After all, her sister had practically stolen Sonia's life from her...perhaps she could do the same to whoever this Rosa Diaz was. She supposed it wouldn't even be that difficult. The resemblance really was...uncanny.
All her clothes fit Sonia, too, even if there was far too much black to suit her own tastes. She had found a completely killer red dress, though, and some shoes to match, and it fit her like a glove. If she wanted to find someone to latch onto here like Gloria had done with Jay, then this red dress would be one hell of a way to do it.
She wouldn't get anywhere just cleaning apartments, though. So red dress on, ready to do its work, she went down to the coffee shop, to order herself just a mug of black coffee, and then find a nice place to sit where she could people watch and do some thinking about this Rosa character (did many people here know her? Where was she? How had Sonia wound up in her apartment? Why did the look so much alike?), and perhaps, just perhaps, someone might notice her and think to send over a pastry, and this time, there would be no life-stealing devil sisters to intercept and take what had been meant for Sonia all along.

And there was Rosa, wearing a red dress to a coffee shop.
"Hey," Kitty said slowly.

Which was clearly impossible. Her mind was just playing tricks on her.
But she couldn't as easily shake off the fact that the woman was looking at her a bit strangely. Someone who knew this doppelganger of hers, this Rosa? Sonia frowned a little, but she wasn't about to be rude. She nodded, offering up a "Hello" that sounded a bit confused, as well as heavy with a Colombian accent, even for just being one word.

In related news, Kitty had been here too long.
"Nice day, huh?" she said, because she was good at rolling with it.
no subject
"Yes," she agreed. "It is a very nice place, too. Do...do you live here?"
no subject
She knew the answer.

She set the coffee mug down with a new resolve and offered the woman a faint smile. "Yes," she said, which was the easy and truthful part, but the same could not be said for what followed, but once she said it, she'd have to stick to it with conviction. "I am visiting my sister. Perhaps you know her?...Rosa?"
no subject
Kitty was still figuring this was a weekend thing, but she also didn't know that much about Rosa's life, so this was intriguing.
no subject
"No?" she asked. "That's...strange. But...perhaps not. We have...not gotten along...well...these past few years. Which is...too bad, really, but we are trying to...make amends." She gave a nervously hopeful smile. "I hoped this visit would help."
And it also helped that Sonia did have a sister for which all of those things applied to, so if she just talked about Rosa as if she were Gloria, they were all practically true.

Either way, a confused, dumbfounded look wasn't going to do her any good, so she swallowed down any trepidation and tried a smile that ended up somewhere between friendly and uncertain.

Since the worst thing that could happen would probably be that Rosa ignored her even more come Monday, Seivarden picked up her mug and walked over to where not-Rosa was sitting.
"Sorry," she said. "You just remind me of someone. I didn't mean to stare."
She smiled again, curious to see the reaction.

But, just to be on the safe side, just to make sure, to know where exactly she stood with this person, she added, her words with a thick accent, "Maybe you know my sister, then? Everybody says we look alike."
no subject
"I do know her, sort of. Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. Seivarden Vendaai."
She really should leave. She would, very soon.
no subject
The name was a little different; she wondered where it might be from, but she should perhaps feel the siutation out a little more before digging in further.
no subject
"Nice to meet you too. Here to visit your sister, then?"
no subject
Understatement of the century. But this person seemed nice, dressed well, and all limbs appeared to be present and accounted for, and didn't seem as silly as that Miguel she'd woken up with yesterday. So she offered her small smile again and nodded to one of the other chairs at the table. "Would you like to have a seat?"

Look how worldly he is! Or something!

You could take the girl out of Colombia, but it was a little harder to take the Colombia out of the girl, it would seem.
But she did smile at him, because he was very handsome and even had both legs. "Hello. My name is Sonia. I am visiting my sister."

True, she'd never heard of him before, but, at the same time, not a lot of movies came through her village that weren't made in the last few decades.
But he certainly had her attention.
"What sort of movies do you star in, Mr. Lee?"
no subject
"All kinds," Lucas said. "Action, romance. Action-romance. I'm currently filming Action Doctor."
no subject
"That sounds very...exciting," said Sonia, trying to be flattering. "Do you play the title Doctor of Action?"

Leather jackets, Sonia also noted, seemed to be quite popular around this place. Perhaps tomorrow, she should consider wearing one of Rosa's many, many, many such jackets in an effort to fit in a little more and seem fashionable.
"I would expect no less," she said, feeling herself warming up to the idea of flattery and smiling up at him. "And I....would ask if you'd like to have a seat, but I am sure you must be very busy, big movie star that you are..."
