This year with this whole thing was a little harder than most- not dirty- for Kitty, who also didn't really want to be at work for reasons. But Tino had called out sick for reasons she didn't want to imagine, and the zombies were playing the collected works of Marvin Gaye and Barry White (not well) and she was not at all counting down the time till she got to go home to her hot husband with the arms.

Oh, come on, now, Kitty. That was just asking for it.

"So...what?" asked Rosa, leaning into her usual spot at the bar. "So no Sex on the Beach? No Slippery Nipples? No Screaming Orgasms? Sounds like a personal problem."

"So that answers my question about how your immunity's holding out through this one," Rosa noted.

"I think the immunity extends to things that might keep me from knowing about or taking care of a helpless little being," Kitty mused. "This just makes me wish I had a babysitter."

"Well, don't worry," Rosa assured her. "I have no intention of staying very long at all. I will take a couple of Red Headed Sluts, though."

Because with a special like that on a week like this, Rosa was definitely ordering all the dirty cocktails.

And it was just the week for Rosa to appreciate that kind of joke way more than she should.

"God," she sighed, shaking her head at the injustice of it all, "it really is a shame you're married. But just for that, I think I'm drinking for free tonight and ordering the dirtiest thing on your menu."

"The drinks I can do," she laughed, grabbing a bottle. "The free part... I don't remember agreeing to that."

Rosa's current mood clearly had just given her way more confidence in the subtly of her bad jokes. "If Diazes stopped being free at some point," she noted, "I have been stiffing you guys on a lot of booze."

She had said the dirtiest drink, Kitty.

And probably why she was a cop, not a comedian.

So.... Kanan's first instinct had been to just completely bail on the island this week. Pack up and ship out and not look back at all. But hey, guess who had a class to teach later in the week like a huge idiot, and so had been meditating a lot since yesterday morning, instead?

"Is there a non-alcoholic drink that is the opposite of appealing in any way, shape, or form? Just pour me a glass of bitters or something? I regret my life choices for a full week right around this time every year, and this year I actually somehow have more regrets than usual."

"I'm sure I can come up with something," said Kitty, trying to remember some of the failed experiments from when she and Tino would try to come up with new stuff. "What are you regretting?"

Whelp, here Kanan went, ticking things off on his fingers, now.

"Being a teacher, sticking around because I'm a teacher, being a Jedi, deciding that meditating my way through this week was a great idea because I'm a Jedi, being a respectful individual who is so help me not going to so much as suggest anything to Hera while the island is like this, not being half as promiscuous as I was even two or three years ago, specializing in a weapon that is the brunt of so many more phallic jokes this week than usual, and," vague gesture toward the liquors behind the bar, "quitting. But there's nothing to be done about any of that, at least that I won't regret when the flowers back off again, so how's your week so far?"

"Ever try to get some alone time with a teething baby in the house?" Kitty asked with a sigh, getting a glass and looking at the ingredients available. She felt like root beer should be in here somewhere?

"... I can honestly say that 'teething baby' is nowhere on my list of life experiences," Kanan replied, sympathetically. "But it's definitely putting things in perspective a little."

"It could be worse." At least she was getting some, if not easily.

Cranberry juice. That mix was probably on the line of 'I guess I can try to finish this' and 'no more though no seriously.'

"Without suggesting, do you have any idea where Hera's head is at with all this?"

Just saying.

"Uhhhh," Kanan supplied. And then shrugged. "If it's anywhere like the place it was last year, she's probably already thinking of packing up the ship and heading home for the rest of the week."

"I have no idea how you guys share a bed and this hasn't come up," Kitty admitted.

Beaker had taken special care with his hair tonight (even if it was still sticking straight up) and had put on a tight shirt and a gold chain to better attract the ladies.

Beaker should maaaaaaaybe not take dating advice from Pepe the King Prawn.

"Can I get you anything?" Kitty asked, concerned.

It was hard to eyebrow waggle without eyebrows, but Beaker was trying to look as enticing as possible while still being Beaker. "Meep meep meep."

Kitty is not giving you her digits, Beaker.

"That's kind of inappropriate," she pointed out.

"Meep meep meep meep," Beaker said apologetically. "Meep meep?"

No sure that gets you a drink, Beaker.

Kitty paused. "Should I really be giving you anything that can act as an accelerant?"

It was a safety question.

"Meep meep meep," Beaker mumbled. "Meep meep meep meep?" he tried hopefully.

Soda water couldn't catch fire, right? Water was in the name.

"Good call," Kitty said as she got him the drink.

The worst he could do was spill it, right?
