Furnado Animal and Bomb Shelter; Friday [05/31].
Well, Prompto hadn't been wrong in thinking that Sidon would find the current state of the fish at the shelter (and the birds and several of the other animals) rather heartbreaking and sad, but he most certainly didn't blame himself because he knew his tank-cleaning skills were top-notch.
Besides, the whole place made him feel a little heartbroken and sad, and it wasn't even the sharp drop from having the island as basically his water-filled playground to barely even feeling like he could trust the water in his own tank. Everything felt so bleak and empty and sparse, and it reminded him of little pockets around Hyrule that had never quite recovered from the Calamity as much as some others had. It really made him wonder...was that what it was like? After the Champions failed to defeat Calamity Ganon and destruction ran rampant across the land? He had been so young back then--a mere twenty-five!--and sheltered closely in the protected arms of Zora's Domain, so he never witnessed it firsthand, only afterwards, when he was a little older, able to venture out on his own every now and again, after the rebuilding and recovery efforts had been in full swing.
And he tried not to think about whether or not Hyrule might look like this once again, should they fail to find a solution to finally destroy Calamity Ganon, once and for all.
They were rather heavy thoughts, the sort Sidon didn't usually like to carry around for too long, but even he found it was difficult to drop them where every turn around every corner made it vastly obvious and present. Still, there were animals to take care of, even if they looked like they'd been through an awful lot, and Sidon dedicated himself to doing the best he could to make their day a little brighter and happier, even under the circumstances.
Especially the fish. But he did have a bit of a bias that way.
Furnado is open!

it was super convenient OOChe can quite easily make a journey such as that to nearly any place, where it is a bit more of a...hassle for you and me. Oh, I believe that would be brilliant. You would, of course, have to distract her while we set it up, but that shouldn't be too difficult."His eager grin, brightened even more with the excitement of such a spontaneous plan that seemed to be coming together well enough, remained on his face even as he added an admission, "I still don't believe I understand what detention is with that description, though. You've created some art, Vette? That some stuffy person has failed to appreciate?"
This person must be very stuff indeed.

"We do share a room and all," Vette agreed, "I can distract her by putting a little candle on a cookie or something, and then... I don't know, maybe drag her to a common room saying we can't have cookies without milk?"
That wasn't actually a half-bad plan, come to think of it.
"So, we draft Prompto to go and get supplies, and I distract the birthday girl, and..." She considered. "Invitations? I guess I could just send a
handwaveytext out to everybody... That should get people there."So would just bringing pizza, admittedly.
"And oh, this art is not to be missed," Vette added. "We made the shuttle amazing, Sidon. A-ma-zing."

And...it was an excellent distraction as well, if he were honest.
"And, of course," he added, "now I simply must see this art! Did someone get pictures? Is it still on display somewhere?"

Vette bounced on her toes, grinned, and nodded enthusiastically.
"We'll get Prompto to show off the pictures at the party," she promised. "It's the best. Shame the Dean doesn't appreciate it."
For some reason.
"But it sounds like we have a plan! Common room! Cake! Surprises! That sounds like how birthdays should be!"
She was, uh, pretty sure, anyway.

"Excellent!" Sidon gushed, throwing in a "Marvelous!" too because it just seemed to warrant it. "We do, indeed, have a plan, and it's a spectacular one at that! I haven't the slightest doubt in my mind that she will absolutely adore it, as well. Well done, Vette! And I cannot wait to see the pictures! Even if the Dean doesn't appreciate them, I'm sure I shall!"

So. Great.
