The Perk, Sunday afternoon

The day was nice, so after her library shift, Lana headed to the Perk to get some coffee and sit at a table enjoying the sunlight and breeze. Weather like this was one thing Fandom had over Dromund Kaas or Korriban.

Also, this week there were fewer things trying to kill her, which was a nice change.

So she'd just sit here, reading on her phone, having a calm and caffeinated day.

When she got off of work, Rey stopped in before heading home, partly because her place still felt weird to her and she was putting it off. So she waited at the counter for her order, checking out who was also there.

Lana looked up, noted the Force around her, and gave the other girl a tentative nod. So far the other Jedi had been reasonable (if the Dean seemed a bit bloodthirsty in general on Wednesdays, at least it wasn't specifically toward her), but she saw no reason not to be cautious.

Rey was more surprised at the acknowledgement than anything else, and thought to extend her senses a little at that.

And then just went with a slightly cautious, "Hi." There didn't seem to be any kind of threat?

Lana stifled a laugh and set her coffee down in a hurry. "Nina, hello! How have you been?"

"Not badly," Lana said. "I headed out last week, and then we were stuck in the last world, me and Norman. It was a bit boring, but nothing like the nightmare it was here, apparently."

Hannibal was organizing things for his class next term, but as nice as his office was, sometimes he fancied coffee someone else had made.

Hannibal raised an eyebrow. "They do a decent enough espresso here." He got up to greet her. "Hello again, Iris. Join me for coffee?"

Alluka wasn't on the island for long--just a day trip, this time around--and she'd been making a beeline for Demon Marcus since that had always been Sparkle's day to work when she had to abruptly detour and bounce into the Perk.

Hannibal smiled, stood, and held his arms out for a hug. "How are you, my dears? It's been far too long."

Alluka flung herself across the shop for that hug.

"We missed you!" she said, snuggling on in. "Lots and lots! We didn't think we'd be gone for so long!"

Seivarden had a guest over today, so Peter was giving them some time on their own. Coffee seemed like a good idea. He smiled nicely at the barista and took a seat with his tea that his roommate would probably sneer at but that was just fine to him.

All right, one thing about Earth - they did have some really delightful food and drink.

Hera in particular really liked this "Mexican hot chocolate" thing.

Maybe she'd see if she could get a nice coffee to bring home to Kanan. Or maybe just a pastry.

Miguel wanted coffee, and his coffeepot wasn't working this morning.

Or possibly he wasn't coordinated enough to use it this morning without coffee.

He blearily looked at the barista, ordered a coffee with a couple shots of espresso in it, and tried not to fall asleep while he waited.
