Devil's Nest, Saturday evening

When you were going to throw a party in a bar named the "Devil's Nest", you were just going to lean way into the red.

Red bows, red ribbons, red berries on pine boughs, red plates and glasses, a red sweater on Tiny that read "Jingle My Bells" with no bells visible, but a definite musical sound when he moved.

"That's awful," Eric told him, looking straight as his pants. "I've never been so proud." Eric was, for now, in a regular sweater and black leather pants, but he was very much looking forward to seeing what Ino brought him to wear. He had picked out an amazingly terrible holiday sweater for her.

Eric took a cautious sip of the extremely boozy red punch and shrugged. "Here goes nothing," he said, propping the door slightly open. "If Lucy starts playing 'Christmas Shoes' on the piano you have my explicit orders to throw him through the door.

Tiny would not be doing that.

Come on in, adults! Get drunk and make poor choices. It's the holidays.

Kitty had not exactly had time to find herself a new holiday sweater, but she did have a jaunty elf hat that would definitely not end the night on her head.

She was just going to get a drink and be glad she wasn't working this.

Knowing full well what sort of nonsense they were in for with the following month, Amaya was definitely going to count even going to this party as her bid for enough holiday spirit for the season. She was doing her part to get out and be social, though she was maybe just a tad on edge with not knowing exactly when everything was going to get itself in swing and just how bad it would be this time around.

But she'd try to have a good time regardless, and she figured the combination of punch and axes would help with that immensely, at the very least.

Octavia was not wearing a holiday sweater. Contain your shock, everyone! She also wasn't all that interested in mingling - unless you counted the extensive-for-her discussion she had with Tiny about what kind of drink she wanted.

She ended up with something fruity that still packed a punch. Maybe the getting drunk part of the evening's proceedings was actually something she was in favor of.

Considering Rey was mainly here for people watching herself, she definitely ended up by Octavia for as much non-mingling as she wanted.

There were no poor choices in Rey's immediate future tonight. (She had another day scheduled for that.) Also they wouldn't serve her alcohol anyway so she was here with a soda. But a party beat being bored, and if nothing else it was a good way to people watch.

Ahhh, the Devil's Nest! How could Shunsui ever say no to a party, much less one where he had many fond memories, even if he would always breeze in feeling a little disappointed to not find any particularly beautiful Pantsless Wonders behind the bar feeling far too willing to shower him with booze and compliments and come-ons these days.

Also, he brought sake. Yes, he knew this was a bar. Yes, he knew the signs said there would already be free drinks.

But it was Shunsui, how could he not?

He'd even go so far as to say with was a special holiday sake, to fit the theme. And, hey! Maybe it even was!

Believe it or not, Rosa was actually super glad she got back in town from New York in time to make it to this thing. Because it had potential disaster people watching written all over it.

Screw anyone who thought she'd be roped into playing a drinking game like I Never later on in the evening, though. You people already knew too much about her already.

Because clearly the thing to do within hours of arriving back home after spending a week and a half chasing down a Repository Ship was to head out to a party.

Liam did not, in fact, have a terrible holiday sweater. He did have some sort of terrible (non-alcoholic) drink that was somehow green and red layers, though.

There was a party, probably with free drinks, and with people that hopefully weren't too annoying. That was all the reason Seivarden needed to be here.

Miguel was not wearing an ugly holiday sweater. He was wearing a shirt with an outline of a turkey that said "I'll get basted; you can get stuffed". He wasn't entirely sure if it meant Gabe had forgiven him or if it was an unsubtle message, but he was wearing it regardless.

And drinking, as if it would do any good.
