Kitty loved the smiling polar bears that gave out Coke. The problem was, now she had a lot of Coke at home.

Apparently Tino loved the bears too, because there was also a lot of Coke at the bar.

"Oh no, this all backfired," Kitty realized.

Iris laughed at the sign, even as she wandered into the bar with her own bottle of, yes, Coke.

It was kind of hard to get away from the bears and, honestly, she hadn't tried. Bear hugs were awesome.

"Should I even ask 'bout the other sort of coke?" she wondered. Really, that was more her sort of thing sale-wise, even if coke was… kind of plebian as far as things like that went. "Or should I just ask for the weirdest soda-Coke drink you've come up with?"

That one seemed more fun.

"Hey."

"Hi. You should probably stick to the weirdest drink, which so far has been Tino mixing Coke and grapefruit juice with tequila," Kitty answered. "You don't want that."

[intraspective]

"I don't take drugs," Iris said amused as she slid into a seat. "Though I been known to make 'em."

And take them, but that was in another timeline and also that hurt her head to think about.

"Ain't sure 'bout what he's makin' though. You got ice cream here? I could go with a spiked coke float."

[throughaphase]

"See, that sounds great and reasonable," Kitty said, sending a pointed look in Tino's direction. "Rum okay?"

[intraspective]

Rum wasn't usually her thing but…

"In a float, rum's good," she said, smiling. "I'll go with that, thanks."

[throughaphase]

"Not usually a rum fan?" Kitty asked, starting to grab ingredients.

[intraspective]

"Ain't much of a drinker," Iris admitted. "If I'm drinkin' it's usually whatever garbage booze Reno's scraped up from the slums or its wine while I'm on a fancy job. Now and then I do daiquiris."

[throughaphase]

"Honestly, I'm with you," Kitty admitted. "Mostly I taste test when we try to come up with new stuff here."

[intraspective]

Iris slanted a glance Tino's way.

"That sounds 'bout a bit dangerous all on it's own without addin' real drinkin' into it, mind," she observed.

[throughaphase]

"It's actually sort of fun when you're bored," Kitty said. "Sometimes terrible, but then you spit it out and make something good. Do you want a crazy straw, umbrella, or both?"

[intraspective]

"Oh, well, if I get the option, I'd like both," she said lightly. "What's the worst you've tried? Now I'm curious."

[throughaphase]

Kitty stuck both a crazy straw and umbrella into the shake and slid it over.

"We tried to make drinks in every rainbow color and trying to put stuff together that would make purple was surprisingly gross."

[intraspective]

Iris thought about that as she sipped her float. Mmmm.

"I can see that," she said. "Purple's a great colour but it ain't a simple one."

[throughaphase]

"And green sort of depended on whether someone liked midori or not," Kitty added. "We should do another one of those nights."

[intraspective]

"I'd be terrible at it, but I'd be game to show up and try," she admitted.

[throughaphase]

"Hey, you haven't seen half the stuff I've put together. I tried root beer combinations once... Don't," Kitty said.

[intraspective]

"Root beer is an abomination already," she laughed. "And then you went and combined it with things?"

[throughaphase]

"Is it really experimenting if you don't create a terrible mistake?" Kitty grinned.

[intraspective]

"Point," Iris conceded. "Good point. Failing when you're experimenting is great fun."
