Caritas; Wednesday [01/08].

As much as she really, really, really missed her poor jello shop blown up to smithereens out in space, Summer would have to admit that being behind the bar at Caritas again wasn't too bad of a consolation prize. She liked it here, and she really appreciated the complete dread that washed over Tino's face when she came walzing back in, cheerful as ever, greeting him brightly and extolling how exciting it was going to be to be working together again!

And even with busting into a volcano and shooting up creepy toys to help free everyone from becoming lava-fried Fandomites, she made sure to make time to have a jello shot ready for tonight, too, because how could she really consider it her great comeback if there wasn't jello shots?

Hopefully, everyone will forgive her for making them a bit...thematic.

"I admit it has," Seivarden said. "Surprisingly. Well, considering this place, of course, and those holiday events excepted."

She reached for the glass. "That plant helped."

Not just the plant, but including it, definitely.

"Oooh, that's right!" said Summer. "I almost forgot about all the weird holiday shit this island does every year. Any particularly messed up new ones of note? You drive anyone else to kissing a squirrel because it was still better than kissing you when the mistletoe came around?"

Lest she forget.

"No one who shared your interest in squirrels," Seivarden replied cheerfully. "Your squirrel admirer has missed you, by the way."

That was just a guess.

"You're forgetting a very crucial element about that interest being over an interest in something else," Summer pointed out, "but that's fine. And, yes, I've noticed. He practically accosted my apartment the moment I got back, before the picnic, but, thankfully, Pancakes has been dealing with a lot worse than squirrels on Coruscant, so she's going to be great at chasing him off."

"I preferring a squirrel to me any more flattering to you?" Seivarden asked with an amused snort. "Anyway, I'm sorry you missed getting kissed by Leroy, and I've learnt how to deal with those plants."

She raised her glass in a toast before drinking.

"And I've kissed things a lot worse than squirrels, so, yeah, it's saying a lot." Summer was standing by that until her dying breath, dammit. "But how'd you deal with them? Kill 'em with fire?"

It seemed to be the most logical solution, really.

"Why do you settle with people worse than squirrels?" Seivarden said, deliberately ignoring the point of what Summer said.

She added: "Cut them to pieces with sharp tools."
