They still had too much chocolate vodka, and Kitty was sick of it. But at least they'd made a dent in it... and then Kitty walked in to find that there were more bottles of it around the bar than there had been when she left yesterday.

As it turned out, Tino had just thought it would be funny if he put the empty bottles around just to scare her, and that is how Tino got sent home for the night.

Anyway,

"Seriously?" asked Rosa, because this was almost impressive, if it wasn't so dumb, "still?"

It was almost as if the island was trying to get them all to hate chocolate vodka, which seemed unnecessary, the chocolate vodka was pretty good at taking care of that all on its own.

"I just want it gone," Kitty said, setting a full bottle in front of her. "That's yours to keep for free."

Friends gave each other stuff.

"I mean," said Rosa, "if you really want it gone, I'll take several."

It was said in a way that made it seem like she already had plans for those bottles, too, plans that she was not about to disclose amidst polite conversation, either.

"You know," she added, "to help out."

Like friends did.

"Big plans?" Kitty asked, setting two more bottles in front of her, she was not kidding, there was so much.

"I don't know if I'd say big," said Rosa, happily adding those two more bottles to her now small collection, "but plans anyway. I mean, if anything, it'll be good to have them around. You never know when you might need an emergency gift, right?"

Because you know that Rosa Diaz. Known for doing things like giving people gifts all the time....

"Like for all those housewarming parties we have here on island?" Kitty said.

"We're supposed to get gifts for those?"

Then again, Rosa figured her even making an appearance and not breaking anything should be more than gift enough.

"I think typically you're supposed to bring a bottle of wine, or like a houseplant or something," Kitty shrugged. "I don't go to many."

"Me, neither." Shocker. "But I think the wine would go over much better than a houseplant. And I'm pretty sure anyone who'd be glad I brought them a bottle of chocolate vodka isn't actually someone whose home I'd want to spend too much time being in, anyway."

"What if to them it's just the thought that counts?" Kitty said.

"Those people are the worst," Rosa decided, "and probably lying through their teeth."

Not that she was cynic, or anything...

"Being grateful is the worst?" Kitty asked.
