Caritas | Friday
How wonderful! It was his second week of being gainfully employed!
Not that the owner of this fine establishment knew that but Cait wasn't worried about it because if it was a problem then, most certainly, it would have made itself clear by now!
"Och aye, aam back!" he said cheerfully to the guy. Tino, something or other, he'd gathered. Cait still… didn't much care. " An' ye can dae me a favoor an' explain th' deid bloke bain tae me! Wa ur they nae bloodthirsty, flesh-hungry monster?"
It was an important question, truly, though he was glad they weren't bloodthirsty, flesh-hungry monsters despite the fact that he had neither blood nor flesh for them to eat.
Specials?
GET TINO TO MAKE YOU SOMETHING!
And since the aforementioned Tino only sighed, Cait was convinced he'd gotten the name right.
Excellent, excellent.
Caritas is Open!

Then her eyes found the specials board. "Ewww," she said, "do I have to?"
And then tossed Tino an air kiss, because she was pretty sure he was just as thrilled to see her as she was to see him.

"How about," she proposed, "you make me something with an umbrella this time? But I have to warn you, I can't stay long. I've got some other plans tonight."

Cait leaned on the counter, amused.
"First ye teel me 'at mah ideas ur terrible an' 'en ye say yoo're leavin' me? Feel, ye ur! Whit ur ye daein' tonecht that's better than thes? An' jist onie auld hin' wi' an brolly? "

She hoped so, anyway, because it was pretty much either one way or the other with that much wine and that many stories.

Cait hopped off his stool—otherwise he couldn't see over the counter—to get a better look about for what to make Summer.
He'd never made a drink in his life.
Summer, he was not even sorry about this.

And actually? If she'd known? She'd feel weirdly honored about it, too.
"I will," she said, fighting the temptation to just lean over the bar to see what Cait was doing now, but the surprise was kind of a thrill, too, "and I'll try to make it so I can stay longer next time, but no guarantees. Around here, it can get a little tricky to try to plan for things too far ahead."

Cait Sith considered his options gravely.
Okay, no, mock-gravely was much more accurate, before he swung into action. Summer was a sunny sort of lass, so he was going to base his drink on that and on his own interpretation of what he had available.
Pink Mead to start with, livened up with a splash of lime vodka, some orange sorbet, a couple of raspberries soaked in pink gin and a bright, vibrant blue umbrella to top it off.
He hopped back up on his stool.
"Voila!"
It looked cute.
He made no promises on how it tasted.

Cute went a long ways here. Summer was, after all, nineteen. Her boozahol tastebuds were not that sophisticated yet.
"Now that," she said approvingly, "looks like a drink!"
And she would be trying desperately to figure out what all he'd put in it on Wednesday when she tried to recreate it.

"Hi," she said. "You the new person?"
no subject
Person was a broad term.

"Hi. Kitty Pryde, I'm your boss, apparently?"
no subject
Cait didn't bristle at that—he only had one boss, thank you kindly, and that boss was back home—but he scoffed a bit, turning it into a laugh.
"Och, yeah?" he said cheerfully. "'En it's a dooble weel mit an' fit loch daein'?"
He was not in the least ashamed of having been caught just taking a job.
no subject
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch all of that."

It was totally his accent causing all the problems

Cait wasn't really worried about not having a place to sleep. He didn't really sleep, after all, but it was a normal thing to need a 'home' so… yes.
