That warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey had maybe sort of figured it out.

Last week had been has been helpful in getting in the right mindset to do maybe everything, and she was feeling more hopeful about her place in all of this than she had in a while. So she'd sat down on the floor to meditate before Anakin got here, trying to get back to that a little

It was easier without the woodchucks at the other end of the warehouse. Meditation usually involved less frowning, usually.

"I'd like to try it myself," she said slowly. "If it called to me, I don't think it would hurt me."

"Take your time," Anakin said. "There's no rush."

"Exactly," Anakin said, moving to remove his cloak. "Are you ready?"

"Without a cloak to remove, yes," she said, unclipping the practice lightsaber from her belt.

"You're missing out on being able to walk down the hallways very dramatically," Anakin teased.

"Oh yeah, I'm all about the dramatics," Rey smiled.

"Have you ever tried it?" Anakin asked, grinning. "You can borrow my cloak and stomp around for a second."

[thatwaslucky]

"I have to deal with stomping from far too many other people, I'm good," Rey laughed.

It was mostly Skywalkers.

Cloak twirling was genetic!

Anakin's grin didn't disappear. "Well, the offer's open whenever you have a moment you'd like to stomp around from."

"I'll keep that in mind," she said.

The word "dork" came to mind but she was not going to say it.

"That doesn't sound like you're going to do it," Anakin said.

"Have you met me?" Rey asked wryly.

"Yes, and your lack of histrionics confuses me," Anakin teased.

Rey shrugged, adorably. "It just sounds like a waste of energy."

Anakin blinked. "I don't understand."

He thought he was hilarious.
