Groovy Tunes; Tuesday [04/21].
Tisarwat was...distracted that day. The sort of hands-doing-mindless-tasks, accidentally-let-your-tea-go-cold sort of distracted as her thoughts sort of swept her up and took her into her already much-too-crowded mind.
It was hard to believe that she'd been here long enough that her tenure here as a student would be over soon. And then what? She clearly should have been less distracted by socializing and figuring out how this world worked and more focused on actually getting back to her world. Maybe Breq and Seivarden's extended presence here made a part of her dismiss it as hopeless, as not even worth the effort, but, now that she wouldn't have as many distractions with classes, she could start really figuring out a way to get back home.
But how? The portals were useless, obviously, but there had to be a way. Seivarden still managed to get Radchaai entertainments piped in somehow, maybe that was the key? Or even if she could figure out just how to tap into some sort of news channel from back home so she could at least know what was going on, what she was missing, then that would be a good start.
She tapped her fingers lightly, thoughtfully, on surfaces as her thoughts swept her away, and then, abruptly, she'd blink her lilac eyes, remember that she was supposed to be working, and get maybe a few minutes into a task before another thread of thought caught her attention and she pulled at it gently, only to watch as it continued to unravel, unravel, unravel....
