Caritas; Wednesday [05/06].
Summer wasn't sure exactly what was going on, if it was some sort of party or whatever, but it was good to see a little more activity in the bar that evening, even if that activity was coming from a rowdy party (of about 20 at her best count, but they ran around a lot, which made it difficult to keep track) of small (roughly chicken-sized) men with blond hair, green tunics, and adorable little wooden swords. Were they celebrating something? She still didn't know. But several of them had disappeared and returned soaking wet from the pond as they kept trying to pick fights with each other, the zombies, Tino, herself...and then the rest of them, picking up quickly, just settled in for some karaoke, which was particularly interesting since most of them didn't even seem to talk, much less sing.
And all they ordered was milk. And a surprising amount of it.
Look, Summer was just glad that the place was busy tonight and that they all seemed to be having a good time, whatever, whoever they were.

Was Cait amused by the swarm of little men in green? Yes, yes he was.
He laughed as he clambered onto a stool. "Tis nae ilka day a'm feelin' lanky! 'N' ur thay miming thair karaoke?"
no subject
Then she turned her smile toward him.
"How've you been, Cait? What're you in the mood for today?"
And maybe, just maybe, she'll understand what it is!
no subject
Because why order a drink properly when you could order in colours and seasons?
no subject
"Hmmmmm," Summer narrowed her eyes, tilting her head slightly. "Now, the problem with red and spring is that you naturally think 'green' but that puts you into Christmas territory, and other combinations tend to lean more toward summer," which was clearly better anyway, but whatever, "buuuuut....I think I've got an idea...."
So she turned around so she could get started, thinking it was a little unfair that Cait had a bit of an advvantage with actually being able to see all of her movements behind the bar, but then eventually, she had the drink ready to go and presented in front of him with flair.
"Voila!"
God, she loved making layered drinks!
no subject
"How come, tis a wirk o' wizardry!" he said, delighted. "It does indeed keek lik' spring!"
no subject
"I practice a lot on the slow nights," Summer said, modestly, despite her proud, pleased smile at the approval. "I can teach you how to do the layered drinks one of these days, if you're interest, Cait."

Even if it meant dealing with Summer behind the bar, but, honestly, she and Baby Linetti had been pretty chill lately. They weren't going to suddenly have a sleepover and do each other's nails or anything, but she hoped she could at least manage getting her a drink and then shutting up for the rest of the night
before work inevitably ate the mun."I know you know about the named specials," said Rosa, who'd seen the list and what the hell was wrong with you, Summer? "I'm going to need at least two Diazes."
She felt slightly less bad about exploiting the list when it wasn't Kitty behind the bar, at least.
But this did feel really weird.
no subject
She couldn't resist.
no subject
At least the cat hadn't started talking to her, too.
"You can read a calendar."
Ironic, considering she was the one who'd forgotten that this was the day Seivarden usually came into the bar.
"Good for you. I bet you're very proud of yourself."
no subject
She downed one of the jello shots.
no subject
"Please. You are definitely flattering yourself," she said, in a very no-surprise-there tone, before sipping her own drink
no subject
"So what brings you here today?"
Maybe if Seivarden talked to her she'd leave and never come back on a Wednesday.
no subject
'And you're still flattering yourself," said Rosa, with pointedly lifted brows and a lifted glass, "if you think I'm actually going to answer that question."
no subject
She sipped her drink.

Seivarden felt that was an obvious question.
no subject
There were almost too many good ones, but the one she decided to go with this time was just a simple, pointed, "You started it."

no subject
"No shit?" she asked, with a touch of false shock in her voice, that was quickly wiped away by a roll of her eyes and a return to her drink. "I'll have to remember that next time."

"You know," she added, after another drink, and her look went pointed, "for someone so concerned with my predictability, I doubt you're really that surprised. I'd go so far as to say that you were counting on me being annoyed.
no subject
Seivarden took a sip, looking at her.

And Summer set Seivarden's whiskey on front of her, followed the three shots.
"Three specials today," she confirmed proudly, "which means you have to try one of each."
no subject
You had to have seen that question coming, Summer.
no subject
Responsible serving? What was that?
"If you insist," said Summer, getting at least the second one poured because she knew how Seivarden drank.
no subject
"What special did I miss last week?"
no subject

no subject
Wouldn't that be great, Seivarden? Getting a whole flock of new kids hooked on jello shot specials to come in every Wednesday?

That wasn't even true.
