Caritas; Wednesday [06/24].
Surprise, surprise. There was still, like, a ton of fruit at Caritas that night, which made Summer grunt just a little bit with irritation because it was bad enough having to deal with random overstock of things at T&C without also having to deal with it at the bar, too, but, at least with the bar, she knew the person who ran the place would actually help do something about it instead of just expecting her to and just going off and flirting with her Friends from Home at your birthday party even though she expressly asked you not to, Shunsui.
But whatever. She was going to be busy slicing up strawberries and bananas to garnish the jello shots she made with, and googling what kind of fruit best compliments whiskey.
Because when life gave you lemons....make lemon drops.
Wednesday Jello Shot Special!
Lava Flow w/fresh cut fruit!
First One Free to All Wednesday Activity participants!
And to anyone ordering a Lemon Drop, Mai Tai, Mojito, or Daiquiri
Also, I swear the lava thing is pure coincidence.
Caritas is open!

That being said, she was still getting a shot preemptively set in front of her, as well as a whiskey, because Summer had researched and was not letting a good apple slice garnish on the rim of Seivarden's usual drink go to waste!
And then she worked on the Mai Tai.
...she didn't think she'd need to get Seivarden liquored up to help make the proposal she'd been stewing on more appealing, but it also wouldn't hurt, either.

"Not too bad," she said.
No, it wouldn't hurt.

She downed the second jello shot and then took a sip from the Mai Tai.

And then, after basking in her circumstantial, technical awesomeness a little, the uncertainty that caused Summer to play Seivarden with all these drinks came slinking back and she shifted a little, and hesitated.
But it was going to drive her nuts if she didn't do anything.
"Hey," she ventured, "what are you doing after this? And please don't say something gross and tacky like 'probably Lucifer' because a) gross, b) tacky, and c) this is legit a serious question."
Although that kind of answer was way more Lucifer than Seivarden, but she wanted to nip that possibility in the bud, in that classic way of probably able to avoid it entirely if she'd just not said anything.

"Why would I say something tacky like that?"
Yes, Lucifer might, but saying tacky things was a Lucifer thing.
"I don't have any plans. Why?"

"You remember what we talked about on Monday?"
They had actually talked about quite a few things on Monday, but Summer didn't think she'd need to specify, especially not with the serious, somewhat clandestine tone her voice took.

NFB from here!
And then leaned forward herself.
"I can't stop thinking about it!" she admitted in a rush, as if glad to finally be able to say it outloud. "Like, I know we said she always takes the dog, and she wouldn't do that, probably, but what if she did? Or like something happened, and the apartment's climate controlled so the body isn't rotting quite yet, because you know Rosa knows the exact temperature to keep a place to prevent bodies from rotting too much, right? I mean. I know it's not, like, likely, but what if, Seivarden? What if? I, like, could barely sleep last night, thinking about dead dogs and potentially, like, dead dog ghosts because ghosts don't care about walls, and I'd have Whatever-Her-Name-Is-Now's ghost coming over and being all 'you could have saved me, Summer, but you didn't, you biiiiiitch!' And, like, ohmygod, I can't even."
Which may have sounded a little dramatic, but she had some previous issues with vengeful dogs, so it was, like, a thing. You didn't get threatened by your childhood pet armed with a full-body mech suit over his being neutered without picking up at least a few complexes about it.
Re: NFB from here!
"It is very unlikely," she began. "How would you even get in there? And how do you know there aren't traps?"
Re: NFB from here!
Re: NFB from here!
Seivarden looked at Summer.
Re: NFB from here!
She'd asked her not to break down the door even, for godssake. You didn't get much more 'hey, Summer, break into Rosa's apartment' than that.

Re: NFB from here!
"Stupid dogs," she pointed out, "need even more help than normal dogs, too."
