Rey understood the concept of a kiddie pool, but she didn't know why she found one in her apartment.

Then there was the slow, very careful process of dragging it out through the hall and trying so hard not to spill anything on the way. She mostly managed! But really, what was she going do with it in her place? It wasn't even like she could empty it in there.

So, uh, there was going to be a kiddie pool outside the apartments, because she had no way of knowing that everyone got one.

"Originally no. I went back home for a while and came back on purpose," she answered.

"So there must be some charm about this island if you voluntarily came back to it after being on a different planet," he said. "That brings me some hope."

"The people, mostly. The strange parts of the island you get used to. But the people can be worth coming back for."
