The band was still on their jam kick, which would be great, if it weren't for the fact that the drummer was still having a lot of difficulty with his arm, and Summer was momentarily distracted whenever they seemed to try to think of a new solution for having it stay in place, before she offered her own unsolicited advice (of course).

"I mean" she mused, "maybe this is, like, super obvious, but have you guys ever tried, like super glue or something?"

Which meant she was met with a whole set of withering looking on several half-rotted faces that made it very clear that of course they'd tried superglue, why wouldn't they have tried the most obvious thing anyone with literally half a brain (and often significantly less than that!) would think of?

Which also meant she would be nice and politely ignore the fact that they sent the keyboardist out for a bit, a keyboardist who returned with a small bag from the Kwik Stop that contained a bottle of superglue that they did a poor job of concealiing that they were trying.

"You guys could have at least gone to T&C," she pointed out. "Seriously."

They might have been a little smug about the fact that the superglue did not, in fact, work, but, really, there were no winners in this situation any way you looked at it.

The sigh just made the grin grow a little, and Amaya nudged Seivarden with her elbow, in case she needed a little reminder that she was.actually joking with that last one.

It wasn't a good joke, sure, but when had hers ever been?

"It's a pretty powerful piece of equipment, you know," she said. "Think you can handle it?"

Seivarden gave her a look. Yes, she knew it was a joke. They were joking. Seivarden did not murder squirrels.

"You don't think I can handle powerful equipment as well as you do?"

Well, maybe they wouldn't have been in the predicament they were if she'd at least entertain the idea!

"There are very few who can," Amaya pointed out confidently.

"I used to be the Captain of a ship," Seivarden said. "I know how to work with heavy tools in zero gravity."

She grinned not particularly serious.

"Well, sure," Amaya allowed with a faint grin, "but I'm pretty sure it's the gravity causing all the problems in these cases. Also, I've seen enough entertainments to know half of that's just having a good relationship with your ship, isn't it?"

Wait for it.

"Heh. Relationship."

She was not even a little bit sorry, no.

"It's actually hard work. I would say you should try it but that's a bit hard."
