Caritas- Tuesday

It was a perfectly normal day at Caritas. The zombies has all their limbs, Tino wasn't doing doing anything weird, there weren't any odd deliveries or pizza deliveries.

Kitty didn't trust it. And honestly it was a little boring now.

Rosa was definitely in the habit of checking the specials board on the way in, and that one quirked an eyebrow.

"That bad, huh?" she asked. "I'd say be careful what you wish for, but..."

It sort of went without saying.

And Rosa could probably real some entertainment benefits here, too.

"It's not bad as much as... distressingly normal?" Kitty clarified.

"Like in that 'too normal, something bad is about to happen' way?" asked Rosa, because her whole world right now was decidedly not normal for her, but in a normal-person way, so she might not have picked up on any aggressive normalness on the part of the island.

"No idea. New Mayor Jesse did say we were due soon," Kitty said, not that she was worried. "But mostly I'm worried that next week I'll come in and Tino will be wearing an offensive costume or all the zombies will have turned into babies or something."

Rosa made a face. "Yeah, you're on your own for that second one," she admitted, because babies were bad enough without even throwing the zombie part in, "but if it's the first, I'll gladly yell at Tino for itm"

Hell, she'll gladly yell at Tino even if he didn't do anything.

"That actually would be entertaining," Kitty admitted.

"Better get the vodka ready, then," Rosa.said with the start.of a smirk. "Give me a seed to go off of, though. He had to have done something annoying today. I would just go in on his looks, but that's pretty low-hanging fruit."

"That's the thing. He hasn't done anything. He's just working."

Rosa considered this.

She could work with that.

"What the hell, Tino?" she demanded. "We're not buying this innocent act; what are you hiding?"

You could take the cop out of the job description, but...

Tino looked shocked. He was just minding his own business, Rosa! He was drying glasses!

"I mean, he could just be having a boring week," Kitty said.

And Rosa was working on getting free shots by entertaining your boss, Tino.

"That's probably what he wants you to believe," she said, glaring at Tino with the intent to get him at least sweating a little and going over a few choices from.his week with a fine-toothed comb.

Tino opened his mouth to speak.

And instead quickly booked it to the stockroom.

And Rosa looked at Kitty, brows lifted, her expression both pointed and victorious.

"You going to tell me," she asked, "that that's the reaction of an innocent man?"

"Can I stay even if I'm not entertaining?" Tony asked, looking at the specials.

"Yes but you might not get the free shot." Kitty told him.

"Well, to prevent Steve and Clint from judging us, I think that's wise to skip anyway."

Just let them live, guys!

"Probably," she said, wrinkling her nose. "That was fun, though."

"We could get them drunk instead," he suggested brightly.

[throughaphase]

"That's harder with Steve," Kitty mused. "We could just get everybody else drunk so we're not the only embarrassing ones."

Remember D&D night? That had also been fun.

"That sounds like a plan to me," Tony replied, perking right up at the idea of a party or something of that nature. "Can't be at my place, we have terrible luck with weird stuff happening."

Good thing there wasn't terrible stuff coming up!

"We could always do something here," Kitty said. "I'm always looking for ways to bring people in."

"D&D was fun," he said, thinking it over. "Maybe a movie? But a bad movie to encourage drinking."

Quite the businessman, he was.

"Maybe something we can turn into a drinking game?" Kitty said. "Is there something bad and well-known?"

"Campy bad or bad bad?"

"Ooh, campy bad," Kitty said. "People would probably have more fun with that."
