"Whaur hae ah bin?"
Yeah, as if Cait was going to answer that—especially not when the question was from Tino.
"Th' bigger question is whaur hae ye bin?" No, that didn't make sense and Cait had mostly asked just to confuse him. The fact that Tino had an answer was something Cait hadn't counted on but was willing to roll with. "A ceilidh? Haur? Weel, 'en, it's aw oan ye tae clean it up! Chop chop!"
Yeah, Cait was not going to be any help as he settled behind the bar.
Quite possibly for a… cat nap. Hush.

Actually, no, it'd totally been stalking, even if her identity hadn't gotten stolen, per se? She probably still could have filed charges.
So when she got to town, she decided she was just going to go in for a drink, and... there was a cat behind the bar. People the next town over could probably hear the sigh.

Sorry, Jaye?
"Weel noo," Cait said, perking up at the chance to talk to someone that wasn't Tino. "That's a sigh 'at needs a bevvy! Whit can ah be gettin' ye?"
no subject
"Beer?" she said, tentatively.

Cait ducked down behind the bar to go and find... ah ha!
"A swally fur th' quine," he repeated, scrambling back up, and sliding a bottle over to her. Since she looked like she needed it, she was getting the one flavoured like coffee.
It wasn't like she'd specified! And, sure, he could've asked but why would he do that?

And eyeing him. Cautiously.

"Is thaur somethin' oan mah coopon?" he wondered. "Ur is thaur somethin' botherin' ye?"
no subject
If not, this was actually going to feel even weirder.

And even if someone had left a message for her, Cait was probably, almost definitely, the worst one to leave it with.

It was in that moment that Jaye realized she could never visit a gift shop in any other country. Maybe Canada.

He was so used to being around the boss, who understood everything he said, that it took him a moment to realize what the problem was.
"It's alrecht, there's nae message fur ye. Sae ye can relax! Tak' a break? Flin' a ceilidh?"
Another, more reasonable sort, might try to tone down the accent.
Cait was not that sort of cat.

...Crazier.
