Streets of Fandom, Monday Morning
So, a weekend here translated to over a month back home once again before they were yanked right on back to this damn island.
And Danny would have very much preferred to recover from everything with his kid and very lovely girlfriendwho lives in Hawaii by his side. But nooo. That couldn't happen for him.
Though Steve did make breakfast for a change. Which had been nice too. Up until Danny remembered that none of the meds that had been prescribed to him back at Queen's came with them. So, he had to drag himself out to deal with some stairs in order to get new ones from the clinic here. You know, to not keel over from some terrible infection or something.
Honestly, his life.

Very polite, Liam.

“And yet you like it better there than here,” Liam shook his head.
The people part of the equation, he got. But the rest of it?

PT after this was going to be super annoying.

Enough so that when he noticed there was that particular step that looked a little on the crumbly side, he'd resisted pointing it out to Danny. Not to be an asshole, but because it allowed him to move in to steady him, one hand on the small of Danny's back, the other- well, Liam's other hand went for Danny's hand, there. "Hey, careful," he chided, not letting go just yet.

"Thanks," he said instead of pointing it out. Because people reacted to injured folks differently sometimes.

... Okay, so he generally wasn't a very tactile person. Shh.
"No problem," Liam lifted on shoulder in a half shrug, and then let go of Danny with a pat on the back.
And if Danny happened to feel somewhat less achey than he had before, then... purely coincidence. Yes. Totally.

Danny let out a little sigh, shoulders losing a little bit of their tension. "This place needs to stop with all the stairs, ya know?"
no subject
"Or maybe you need to stop getting run over by trucks."

Wait... Actually possible here.

It had also involved one of his best friends literally going off to Hell, so that was . . . not nice.
Anyway, he was in kind of a mood himself when he came across Danny on his way through town. So instead of a "good morning" or even a "hello", he got a "Wow, you look like shit."
Welcome back to Fandom, Danny.

"Thanks," Danny replied dryly. "You wanna start ragging on my clothing choice next?"

And then the demons had decided to kidnap a baby to make it the new king of Hell.
"No," Duke said, rather more brusquely than he might normally. "Seriously, man, what the hell happened? We get invaded by something while I was gone?"

Or possibly the hospital.

Duke's first aid kits were just as nuts. Only apparently with more illegal prescription drugs in them.
