It was with no small amount of trepidation that Kitty got to the bar tonight, and began pouring little amounts of hopefully-alcohol, just to test what happened.

Which was followed by a very loud "THANK GOD" because Parents Weekend was not the time.

After an hour or so, Chloe had forgotten she didn't do singing anymore. Lost in her own maudlin playback of the last few minutes before Lucifer had left, she climbed up onto the stage.

"This is for somebody who left," she said, "Who played this for me, and... and it's not fair, okay?"

She looked a little unsteady. But as the zombies began to play obligingly anyway, she mosied up to the microphone.

"Should've stayed; were there signs I ignored? Can I help you not to hurt... anymore? We saw brilliance when the world was asleep. There are things that we can have, but can't keep..."

She swallowed. If they say who cares if one more light goes out? In a sky of a million stars, it flickers, flickers-- Who cares when someone's time runs out? If a moment is all we are, we're quicker, quicker. Who cares if one more light goes out? Well, I do..."

Yeah, she was going to make it through the whole song. And then she was going to stumble home and endure the eyerolls of her demon babysitter.

Kamilah made her way gracefully to the stage. "I'm going to sing a little tune that made me the youngest person on the Top 40 in 50 years," she said, completely assuming that the band knew her song.

But of course they did, and of course it was amazing and far better than anything Tahani could ever do.

"You're welcome," Kamilah said, bowing deeply.

"We are so honoured," Nina said, eyes huge and feeling rather breathless, having watched the whole performance absolutely star-struck and barely moving.

"Are the drink issues sorted out now?"

All of her fake dads would probably be facepalming right about now. All four of them.

Sure, Nina didn't really know the other girl but she knew her through island osmosis and also, like, there was something she needed to say urgently.

"Look who it is!!!!!!!!" Nina wasn't quite 'eeeeee-ing' but only because she was far too overwhelmed to do so as she tilted her head in the queen's direction.

She had every faith that Alexis would know who that was.
