The Devil's Nest, Friday Night

This afternoon, Lucifer and Miss Lopez had somehow gotten into an escalating battle of challenges over text. It had ended in a link to a YouTube video and express instructions to play that, record it, and send it back, lest Lucifer be forced to forfeit this impromptu game of Truth or Dare.

Obviously, it wasn't much of a dare, and at the last minute, he'd veto'd Miss Lopez's insistence he should do it 'shirtless, or at least wearing a funny t-shirt or something'.

Either way, Tiny was stuck on filming duty while Lucifer really dug into the best of Latin pop with every fiber of his being.

Well. The booze wasn't quite here for Tisarwat, which was fine, because the non-alcoholic choices were intriguing enough to make her feel like she wasn't missing out too much, and, besides, she wasn't exactly here to drink.

It wasn't going to get danceable as long as Lucille was playing. She sat down at the piano, rested her fingers on the keys for a moment, then began to play one of her favourite songs, followed by a few others.

Tiny shot Lucille, and then Lucifer, an extremely worried look from behind the bar.

Lucifer waved at him. "Let her," he said. "Actually, this feels like a good moment for dramatic lighting, give me a moment..."

Sorry, Lucille. You were getting visual effects.

Lucille didn't let the visual effects distract her from the music, and she assumed it was just something to expect here. She glanced at Tisarwat, briefly, and smiled a little.

Tisarwat would definitely be devoting her attention to Lucille's playing while she was at the piano, with an easy, encouraging smile on her face whenever her friend's glances seemed to wind up her way, and, when she was sure the little concert was over, she came over, brining with her a drink.

It was a fancy Japanese soda in a colorful bottle. Sorry, Lucille, if you wanted something boozier, you'd likely have to get that yourself.

"Now that," she said, "was a performance for tea. That was wonderful, Lucille. Though I expected no less."

For the compliment, and for the drink. It would be unfair to get an alcoholic drink to herself when Tisarwat couldn't have one, and she didn't mind the soda.

"I hope the music wasn't too out of place, but sometimes variation can be a good thing."

Lucille tried to hide her excitement as she approached Lucifer at the piano, and she succeeded quite well, not being prone to seem excited generally. She had brought some sheet music with her, but most of the songs she intended to play she knew by heart.

Tisarwat, who accompanied her, had probably heard them too. Lucille smiled at her.

"I hope this place isn't completely wrong for the kind of music i like."

She was wearing the new gloves Tisarwat had given her, unaware that at least part of the reason for the gift was that her previous ones had been terribly improper.

Considering the music that was playing when they'd come in and what she expected Lucille to be playing, completely wrong almost seemed like an understatement, but she was here to be supportive of Lucille in her endevours and she would stand solidly behind that.

"Variety always makes for a more interesting experience, anyway," she encouraged with an easy smile. "Besides, talent will easily surpasses limited expectations."

"There will at least be variety," Lucille said, clinging to the pages she was holding a little bit more than usual. Tisarwat's encouragement was appreciated.

"I don't think they serve acceptable tea in a place like this."

"No joy in spending weeks on end sulking, is there?" Lucifer asked, ignoring the fact he'd spent quite some time doing just that on this very island.

Allie was back to her old habit of a sunset patrol of the island to check for anything rabid-like, now that the causeway was allowing her to pass freely back to her world.

Hanging her katana on the back of her chair, she got a bottle of True Blood from Tiny, and sat back to watch the show. Was this the new co-owner Eric had told her about?

Lucifer finished the song with a flourish, beaming at Tiny.

Tiny just grunted, lowering the phone, and taking a few steps to hold it out for Lucifer to take.

Neither of them had noticed Allie yet.
