Caritas- Tuesday
Kitty stopped at the door of the bar when she got here today, braced herself for whatever Christmassy she was about to find.
It wasn't bad. Sure, there was a weird amount of mulled wine, but she could deal with that! It felt like a relief, which she knew meant they were in for it next week, but that was Future Kitty's problem.

In the end? She went with her basic greeting/drink order. "Whiskey."
Which is pretty much a "Hi! Good to see you!" in Jessica terms.

However, Tuesday evening posed a choice: either spend another night curled up in the Red Tail while she figured out somewhere to refuel before taking off...or actually find a bar.
Guess which choice won out?
"What's mulled wine?" she greeted the bartender, sliding onto a stool and eyeing the board curiously.

"Sure," she decided, quirking her mouth in a half-smile. "Is that, like, what you all drink around here?"
This Fandom planet was weird.

That sure was a weird statement, even weirder when paired with what Jessica had told her yesterday regarding horses and tramp stamps and teenagers.

And then, her attention shifting to Kitty now, she added, downright conversationally, "I think I can actually enjoy it since it's not coming out of literally every faucet on the island right now."

Well, booming was relative in this case. There had been a few calls. Comparatively, that was a boom.

"Did you accidentally stock up on spices or did this happen on its own?" he asked as he took a seat at the bar.
