Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty was from the Midwest, she could handle the snow.

Being able to phase meant that she could avoid the candy canes, and the falling rock icicles, fine. Whatever.

And then she got to work and found that one of the marzipan boulders had come to a stop right in front of the bar.

"Oh come on!"

So. Jessica had about enough of the Sharkicanes from yesterday. And now there were obstructions that took the edge off of dealing with Sharkicanes.

"You got to be fucking kidding me," she groaned as she stepped up beside Kitty. "Need some help with this?"

"So much," Kitty said, with what might be the most long-suffering sigh she was capable of.

"Right not a problem," she said stepping up to deal with boulders like she did with most problems. Punching it. Only to find it was a gooey clay like consistency. "Ew."

Taking a different tactic she began shoving the boulder out of the way. With a grunt and a push she slowly began moving it away. "I heard this island did strange shit during the holidays. Wasn't expecting play-dough rocks blocking doorways."

"No, this is new," Kitty said, glancing around to make sure that like, another Boulder wasn't about to roll in and take this one's place, because that's the kind of day she was having. "I thought about phasing it underground but I'd half expect that to cause more chaos somehow."

Like suddenly there'd be a gremlin invasion because they weren't fans of marzipan.

With a huff and a solid kick, Jessica moved the boulder out of the entrance. "We could have more chaos?" Jessica asked as she shoved her hair out of her face. "Clearly I need to stock up and buckle down if that's the case."

"Might not be a bad idea. the fact that the candy canes are trying to drown us two days in a row is not a great sign," Kitty admitted. "Thank you so much, you have earned drinks."

"Well then," Jessica said, trying to get some of the marzipan off her gloves. "Things are definitely looking up. I might have to try something just above paint stripper."

[throughaphase]

"You have earned more drinks," Kitty said by way of apology, opening the door to let her in.

"Then I'll have one of your mediocre bourbons," she said walking in and heading to the bar. "No reason to start drinking the good stuff. It'll spoil me."

"Coming right up," Kitty said, phasing just straight through the bar to take her place behind it and start getting the drink. "How're you doing, very weird week aside?"

"Well weird shit aside, doing fine," Jessica said with a shrug. "Home is getting a bit weird. Some lunatic just shot up a bunch of Irish mobsters that were trying to take over Hell's Kitchen."

"Any idea who did it?" Kitty asked as she set the bourbon down in front of her. "My team doesn't really get involved in things like shootings."

"No one knows who it is," Jessica said with a shrug as she picked up the glass. "One of the papers have started calling him 'The Punisher'"

She rolled her eyes a bit. "Seems like everyone is getting a crazy code name."

[throughaphase]

"Oh, that guy," Kitty said, unimpressed. "We have him too."
