Groovy Tunes; Tuesday [12/29].
Even though neither of them had exactly said as much, it was pretty clear to Tisarwat that she was definitely going to be moving into that spare bedroom of Lucille's. The only thing now, then, was exactly when that would happen, which was a little difficult to pin down when neither of the parties involved were even saying that this was happening.
At this point, Tisarwat just sort of figured she'd slowly bring over her stuff with each visit for tea and poetry and piano lessons, and then eventually just not leave when they were finished. That wouldn't even take that long. She didn't exactly have much stuff.
And she'd already started moving some of the extra backstock downstairs for storage, so now it was just a matter of time.
Which she realized was very Radchaai of her. Find a new place, slowly intrigrate yourself into it until one moment, everyone blinked, and it was like you had somehow been there all along, and if anyone questioned it, well, then they were clearly just...uncivilized.
But before she got to all of that, there was some work to be done at the store, and she would try to put more of her attention into that.
Groovy Tunes is open!

She glanced around the room. It had been twenty years, twenty years of traveling, and she had nearly forgotten what the place looked like.

She decided to go with where she assumed Breq was, rather than where she had been.
"Fleet Captain," she greeted. "Welcome back."
It was a little tricky to avoid saying that last part with some uncertainty, but she managed.

Beyond those pesky potential floods, anyway.
"Let me get you some tea," she said, once her gaze went back to Breq for a moment before she turned to do just that, especially as she suddenly felt very awkward about what Breq being here might imply.

And addressing what she suspected Tisarwat was wondering: "I'm visiting for a few days, to see how Seivarden and you are doing."

Let's be honest; that was what Tisarwat would really want to know.
That, and maybe if she could go back now, too...

No need to make Tisarwat feel she was missing out too much.
"But how are you?"
no subject
She'd put in her time at Athoek, had some groundwork there, she had friends. And, most importantly, she'd put in more than enough time here, maybe Breq could finally see how she could be helpful, maybe she saw how she was completely wasted being here...

"How is your life here? How do you spend your time?"
no subject
"Mostly just tending the store," she said, instead, after swallowing her arguments with a mouthful of tea. She thought maybe emphasizing how little she had to do here might be helpful, but just that seemed disingenious, and she shrugged. "A lot of reading. Learning how to play piano."

Not at all useful in trying to take over the world, but requiring patience, and enjoyment of music.

"It wasn't exactly something I was expecting to learn, either, but I don't have to tell you that this place has its share of surprises."
no subject
"Have you talked to Seivarden?"
no subject
Probably not as much as they should, but it was...awkward.
Though not, Tisarwat thought, looking into her own tea before taking a sip, as awkward as this.
