It was interesting how Rey never even questioned why she never turned little on these weekends. She was just always vaguely good with that, and more interested in seeing other people as kids anyway.

Today there were a bunch of different toys that needed fixing. For some strange reason. And given the kind of weekend it was, Rey was pretty intent on getting them done pretty fast so they could actually be used again.

She also kind of wondered how many would end up back here by the end of her shift...

"LOTS OF HORSES!!!!!!!!" she agreed because a couple of them was a lot, right? "LOOK, THIS ONE HAS SPOTS!!!!!!!!!"

"It's pretty," Annie decided, clapping her hands in delight. "One time I petted a horse! And- and I feeded a goat."

It had been a big day.

Nina was looking at Annie was so much admiration right now.

"YOU'RE ALLOWED IN THE STABLES?????????"

Nina was decidedly not allowed anywhere near a stable.

Annie shook her head. "The horse was in a field," she explained helpfully.

The horse had been some very elderly, docile horse at a petting zoo who was used to being shrieked at, was really the thing.

"There were chickens too," Annie added, remembering.

Oh! Oh, that Nina could understand!

"CHICKENS CAUSE OUCHIES WHEN YOU TAKE THEIR EGGS," she shared.

"You gotta get eggs from the store," Annie said, like she knew anything. "Then the chickens can't get mad!"
