Unlike some people, Summer did know whose birthday it was, which meant that she had a few leftovers of the cheese-themed (yes, you read that right) jello presentation she had made for the cheese panda earlier that day, so that should be fun for all the regulars to boggle at!

Sure, the panda had actually hated it, but the panda was very particular about his cheese, and he'd only gotten mildly violent about the whole thing, which said to Summer that he at the very least appreciated the thought, and, really, that was all she could hope for.

She did go pretty extra-classic on the 'normal' shots this week, though, to make up for it.

You know, Summer was starting to wonder if cheese-related jello might also be an effective tool for those people who said things like, 'you know, I'd like to go plant-based, but I just can't say no to cheese!'

"Both!" Summer answered cheerfully, and y'all had Barry to thank for the fact that Summer did in fact now have cheese-flavored jello in her arsenal now. "It's all very fancy," she then assured Seivarden, "so it should be just your thing.

"Also," she added, because how could she not? "That is a great outfit. You pick that out yourself?"

"I approve," Summer assured Seivarden with a nod, as she set one of each of the non-Chinese jello shots in front of her. "Whoever helped you out with that clearly has amazing taste. You're lucky you have such a fashionable and helpful friend."

"Fan-tastic," said Summer, still in a little bit of that affected voice of pomp and class before getting Lucifer one of each of the 'normal' ones first to make ws uh for the literal board of cheese-jello-alcohol monstrosities masterpieces with little sprigs of parsley and everything for decor because presentation mattered and it was going look great on the website.

"Do enjoy," she added loftily.

"Got 'er in one," Summer confirmed with a grin as she set a nice, cold generic beer on the bar. "It's his birthday today, and, Jesse! You should have seen what Apu and I did to the store this morning. I bet Shunsui loved it!"

They didn't even have to get up that early to get it done before he came in, either!

...they did, of course. Like, super early. But they didn't have to, was the point.

Summer's eyes widened a little, as of she had missed out on an amazing opportunity, if it weren't for the fact that she knew very well it wouldn't have been Shunsui cleaning it up.

"Ohmygod," she said, sounding a little awed, "no. I'm honestly surprised the store itself didn't do that. We just did, like, streamers and balloons and glitter and shit...

"And a cheesecake," she added, after a beat, "of course. "

Summer almost answered with something along the lines of it definitely not being something Rey would be into, but you know what? Maybe she was feeling adventurous that day! Don't go closing doors before they're even open, Summer!

So what Rey got was an explanation with a brightly hopeful grin.

"It's, like, a really fancy way of presenting a selection of cheeses!"

Because that sounded nice, right???

Well, then, Summer was going to have to hope no one did end up giving any to Stark, because she probably would not be able to handle a very, very sad look from him, especially not over her jello.

"Pretty good," she answered, with a little shrug that was laisse-faire and a nod as if confirming to herself. "Went shopping on Sunday, celebrated the cheese panda's birthday earlier today, took my class to two different Plutos. All and all? Pretty good week so far."
