Caritas; Wednesday [03/10].

"Yup," Summer decided, looking down into the glass of wine that Tino had handed her shortly after she'd come in for her shift, "that is...definitely red."

Honestly, she wasn't sure what else she expected. And she almost asked exactly why there was so much of this generic-ass RED red wine in the bar right now, but she did the ordering for Turtle & Canary. She knew better than to ask a question like that.

And it wasn't, like, bad, or anything. It wasn't really good, either. It was just...red.

Summer, at that point, just sort of shrugged and dismissed it beyond a general baseline to build a post out of during a lack of inspiration otherwise, because it wasn't like anyone ever came here on Wednesday for the wine, right?

All her inspiration had clearly gone into the jello this week.

"I do have a theme!" Summer confirmed, beaming, hand to her heart as if it was the biggest compliment ever that she'd even noticed. Because, hey. Recognition for even the most obvious details was still recognition.

"Which means you'll have to try the whole set, of course," she added. "Amd there's also a special on red wine."

"I always try the whole set," Seivarden pointed out. "Although I will skip the last one if it comes alive."

She added: "I'll have a glass of red wine too, unless it's something coming out of the taps today."

"When has it coming alive ever been a thing?" Summer asked her.

That was more of a Barry thing.

But she poured the wine and added that to the collection.

"Not the taps," she assured her, "just a bottle. Marked just red, and nothing else, and it's the most generic red wine to ever red."

"Does that mean it's a good or bad red wine?"

Seivarden was by no means an expert on wine, but she knew that the difference in quality was significant, and 'generic' didn't sound promising. She picked up the sunny jello shot and took a bite from it.

"If it's bad I'll have another one of these."

Jesse settled down in a seat about four seats over from the last one she'd sat in, but then again, they'd long since established she wasn't much of a regular... seat-sitter.

"Well, Caritas seems downright normal today."

She didn't trust it.

"Geeeeez, Jes," said Summer, setting down one nice, perfectly normal generic beer, so generic it would feel right at home next to the generic red wine, "why don't you just come on in here and put targets on people's backs while you're at it, too?"

"Okay, so maybe I'm bored," Jesse admitted. "I wouldn't mind, like... a pinch more weird."

"We apparently got several cases of the most red wine to ever red yesterday," Summer offered, "which, honestly, is about exactly the level of weird I'm comfortable with at the moment, but I'm still coming off of a few personal weird things, so, you know..."

And considering they'd probably be talking about some of that stuff in therapy that weekend, Summer would be...okay if next week was very much the same.

"I could bring Tino over," she offered. "Talking to him for more that five minutes can fill a weirdness quota surprisingly quickly."

Again, Summer was very sure that Lucifer's father had very little to do with most of the multiverse, but she wasn't about to tell him that.

"Well," she said instead, lining up the four shots f the evening as she spoke because of course he was going to have them, "you're not stuck on a boat right now so I'd say you're at least better off than last week,but please, if I'm wrong, tell me all about it."

So she'll know if she needed t on set up another row of shots.

It's not like Lucifer would believe her if she tried to tell him, so that was a good call.

"No, quite the opposite," he said, "Just... grousing about the inevitability of Duke turning back up literal hours after we made it back to the island."

He reached for the first shot without even commenting on her laying them out.

Stark was not covered in paint after this morning's class though he might have missed a few stray flecks because the rest washed off or he didn't get hit? Who knows!. He was eyeing the shots and the specials listing a little suspiciously when there wasn't a clear choice to avoid.

"One of each today, I think. Hello, Summer."

Summer nodded, looking pleased that Stark would give all of them a fair shake, making her feel validated that not every week necessarily needed one of THOSE shots.

"Hey, Stark," she greeted back as she went to lay out the set in front of him. "Good choice. How's.your day been?"

Stark would probably argue that no weeks really needed those shots but not very hard.

"There was paintball in class this morning," he said cheerfully. "We had them competing for a bed." Every teacher in that class was deeply weird. "That was entertaining. So the day is fine so far. How is yours?"

"Not quite as exciting as that," Summer admitted with a grin. "Mostly just jello, podcasts, and playing with the cat. But I was talking with Seovarden about a potential paintball party one of these days, so I think I definitely need to take you guys.doing paintball in your class as a sign that it so needs to happen now."

"That sounds like a fine way to spend a day as well. The jello does look good," Stark said, picking up the earth shot. "I like the candy worms. And the clouds." He was saving that one for last.

"Where would you have a paintball party? I'd like that. " Sometimes there was a part of Stark that just enjoyed shooting at things.
