Devil's Nest | Monday Night
Well, Annie wasn't in, like, a great mood when she went into work tonight, having seen the twins off a little bit earlier. As silly as it seemed to get attached when they were only here for a weekend, she hadn't been able to not get attached.
So her specials board kind of reflected as much.
Half off drinks if you show me a picture of your cute kid from this weekend
Because if Annie had taken pictures of the twins -- and she had, though there were a few of them with Tim in there that were way less cute just thanks to the whole creepy-ass Tim factor -- then surely other people might have photos of their offspring, too. And that might help her be just a little more upbeat about the whole thing, at least?

Bar | 4/12
Re: Bar | 4/12
Because of course she would. Have you met her? Also, Holly definitely knew her way around a selfie and Instagram-worthy poses.

Re: Bar | 4/12
....but yeah. She had pictures, nbd.
"What about you? What'd you end up with?"
Re: Bar | 4/12
It took her but a second to pull out her own phone and produce a selfie that Autumn had taken of herself and Ben with Annie's phone, after she had watched her mother mess with lighting and filters and angles for, like, a whole minute. "Teenage, telekinetic twins. Ben and Autumn."
Re: Bar | 4/12
Then she grinned a little. "And her name's Holly."
She leaned back a little. Go ahead, Annie. Put it together. She'll wait.
Re: Bar | 4/12
Took her just a second, yep, but Annie was delighted when she got it.

Deflecting future questions? Yes. That's what she was trying to do.
Re: Bar | 4/12
And the less said about Tim, the better.
Re: Bar | 4/12
"Ew. Full fledged teenagers. Cute, though," Jessica said looking at the kids a small smile coming to her lips. "I can see both of you in them. They powered too?"

"So tell me about your kid," Annie requested. "We had twins."
Re: Bar | 4/12
"His name's Nahele. We apparently met when he stole my car. He was living on the street--foster situation gone wrong--and I helped him out instead of sending him to jail. Twins?"

He'd done this before, saying goodbye to impossible children, but that didn't mean it grew easier. It just meant he knew the goodbyes would be hard. Goodbyes always were.
"Hello, Annie."
Re: Bar | 4/12
She'd met Réaltín, of course, so she knew about them, but she was also fairly sure that little blue kid in the Perk that afternoon had also been with Stark.
Re: Bar | 4/12
"I did," he confirmed. "These have always been good weekends. Every time I've had one." They just made him terribly sad at the same time.
"Then they end. Did you?"
Re: Bar | 4/12
"The ending part isn't great," she had to acknowledge.
