Since last week's special had been a success and she still had a few bottles left, Seivarden saw no reason to come up with a new special for tonight.

Tino seemed to have anticipated this, since he had brought a pair of gloves. Seivarden wasn't sure whether to interpret this as mocking or as an attempt to come across as civilised, but she gave him a compliment on his choice of colour in a tone that meant it could be interpreted as either politeness or an insult. Tino seemed flattered. Seivarden resisted the urge to facepalm.

"Well, I will say this," said Amaya, as she came into the bar because it was definitely becoming a regular thing now, "you get points for creativity."

And the teasing might have been a little more barbed and pointed if it weren't for the fact that Amaya was clearly in a very good mood today, and that sort of spilled over into everything else.

"I didn't think being creative was part of the job," Seivarden said, placing a glass in front of Amaya. "And now I have another outlet for creativity in my life."

"You can't tell me that creativity couldn't at least help, required or not!" Amaya needled as she got herself comfortable on the seat. "And oh yeah? What's that?"

Give her a second. She had meat-on-stick brain still.

"Oh! You mean the blacksmithing?"

There was...a pause.

"Creativity's not strictly a part of that job, either."

But it will definitely help an awful lot in Seivarden's case, creatively working exactly what it was she was trying to do!

Filling Amaya's glass, Seivarden said:

"It's not an art, then?"

"You wanna go find Summer and her jello shots and say the same about bartending?" Amaya countered, leaning in with a grin a little. "It's art if you make it art, Seivarden. I definitely make my blacksmithing art, there's no doubt about that, but if you're looking for a creative outlet, I generally am inclined to recommend the one you're getting paid for."

Because unless a miracle happened in these seven weeks, she didn't see many shiny gold coins in Seivarden's future by way of the hammer any time soon.

"Even if you have no particular talent for it?"

Seivarden grinned. "Honestly, I'm not a particularly artistic person."

"Yeah, no kidding," said Amaya, because she couldn't help herself, and it was probably better than hedging on the fact that Seivarden might not have much of a talent for blacksmithing, either, but, hey! It was still early in the session, right? She could be wrong about that!, "those excuse could use some creative work, too, while we're at it."
