"Is this a new thing? Like jello shots on Wednesdays?" Tino asked. "But without effort and talent?"
Seivarden looked at him, eyebrow raised. "No, it's spreading civilisation. What did you think?"
Before any readers get worried, that was sarcasm.

A beat.
"Oh! Unless you've got any of that...what was it called? Night Train? That we tried in Jessica's class last week."
Amaya, WHY.

"It wasn't all that bad," she maintained solidly. "It's the least you could do to check, right? As part of your job and what have you?"
no subject
She placed a bottle of ale in front of Amaya.

She grinned. "How are you?"

Which had left her a bit melancholy, but that would be too mushy to mention.
"What kind of new projects?"
no subject
One of them included lightning! How.could she not be?
"And then some gifts for Zack. Definitely enough to make my month feel a little busier! How'd the visit go? Any exciting news from home?"

"Miguel put a lobster in Rosa's bed?"
no subject
Whether or not it was ever confirmed, she had no idea.

"So where are you keeping... Dave now?"

Seivarden had to admit she wasn't completely surprised.
"They do sound perfect for you."
They really did.
"You have to introduce me to them at some point."
She didn't particularly care, and now the thought about what 'invite me over to meet your lobsters' sounded like was stuck in her head.

I am so, so sorry."Hey," Amaya grinned with the spark of an idea, "maybe they could join us in class one of these days!"
They were right there, after all!
"They're great," she said, maybe a little fondly, "and they're probably itching to get back into the arena."
no subject
She paused, frowning.
"Don't let Beaker anywhere near them."
no subject
And since he was clearly indestructible, those were pretty good odds!
no subject
She added: "What have you made for them so far?"
