Outside MCA - Monday All Day

Well, Danny had already sort of planned on doing a little bit of grilling (read that as having Steve grill) for Memorial Day, but once he stepped outside to check on things, it looked like he'd been visited by the party fairies.

Which might even be a real thing here.

He wasn't gonna ask.

But either way, there was an ungodly amount of moddable food, drinks and the sort of decorations that made him mostly just roll his eyes. He made sure to put a sign in the lobby to let people know to get something to eat and maybe let anyone else know that they should swing by too.

There was that much food.

Was it a totally normal thing to get back from training and immediately walk into a party? Apparently so!

Rey could stick around for the food anyway. And it'd be easy to get a lei on her even if she wouldn't do it herself.

Of all the parts of him that Shunsui was usually ruled by, the stomach was not one of them, but it was rather hard to ignore the call of the grills wafting upstairs that afternoon, even when he had planned tovspend his day napping to make up for the fact that he'd been up disgustingly early to read all of three or four radio notes...

"Ahhh~," he said, emerging from inside with a bottle.of sake and a very sleepy expression, "are we having a picnic ♥?"

As much as Diego was happy just hoarding Annie to himself when she was visiting, he figured he owed Danny and Steve an appearance.

These cheesy ass decorations kind of made him want to turn around and go back home though.

Which meant Danny just snorted at the expression the moment he saw it. Even if it was the same one he had upon stepping outside.

"Oh, someone needs a lei."

And of course Annie was here, and even if she was looking a little run-down -- even Fandom hadn't been able to help her recent insomnia -- she was here to have a good time, and of course she grabbed a lei.

In fact, she grabbed two. She figured she could use the extra cheer, and then she'd have an extra on hand to force on offer to anyone who didn't have one.

Danny had managed to avoid one for now, but her boyfriend probably needed it more than him.

"When'd you get back in town?" Danny asked, arm out for a hug in greeting.

Stark had not actually seen Annie since Believe Expo, which had been a lot, and he walked up to say hello just a little hesitantly.

"It's good to see you."

Stark very conveniently happened to be wandering through the park and the smell of food and the sound of people drew him over in the direction of MCA.

Hopefully this was the sort of party that involved sharing food with random passersby. He'd even allow himself to get lei-d.

"Stark," Danny said with a nod of greeting. "Come get something to eat. Please."

Steve was grilling every bit of the magically appearing food.

Liam didn’t live here, no, but he was oh so conveniently passing by.

“That’s a lot of food,” he commented, since it was right there in the narrative.

Hopefully some of that moddable food was Liam-friendly.

"Hopefully it's the island's doing," Danny said, very much making it sound like this was all the worst to have to verbalize. Because it was.

Where someone was doing the grilling. It might be anyone. Heck, there were extra grills for some reason in case anyone wanted to help.

There were extra grills but Steve was going to give you some Looks if you used them. What was wrong with his steaks, huh? Huh?

"Do not shoot anyone who tries to grill," Danny said, dropping off a beer for him. Which was just being a good friend, shut up.

He had no idea what grilling was all about. But it looked like food, so that was good!

"Hey grillmaster," Annie greeted him, wandering over with a beer and, yes, two leis. Because enthusiasm was going to make up for her current state of exhaustion and constant dread, okay? It was just going to be a thing. "I'm not sure you're making enough food."

There were a few kiddie pools that Danny sure as hell wasn't going to deal with once this was over with.
