Tino had been muttering objections to the special being the same as it had been for a couple of Mondays now. Not that Seivarden cared about his opinion, but at least it deserved a response, even if it was an obvious one.

"Well," said Amaya, as she found her way to what was sort of becoming 'a usual spot' a the bar, with a look toward the specials board and then a look to Seivarden, because she figured, at this point, she'd have expected Amaya to have something to say about it, "at least, at this point, if I walk in here one Monday and find anything else on that board there, I'll know something's probably wrong..."

"It might just mean that I'm waiting for another delivery," Seivarden pointed out.

"Beer?"

She was already reaching for a bottle.

"I'd still put my shiny gold coins on gremlin bite or Fandom having One of Those Days," Amaya grinned, "but feel free to prove me wrong one of these weeks!

"And a beer sounds just right. Thanks."

Seivarden placed the bottle in front of her.

"I'll see what I can do. So, how are the lobsters? Daisy and...?"

She didn't care about the lobsters, she just enjoyed Amaya's enthusiasm about them.

"Diane," Amaya corrected, taking up the drink with a grateful nod. "It's Dave and Diane."

She snorted into her beer as she took a sip. "Daisy. What a silly name for a lobster!

"But they're doing well," she answered. "I didn't end up bringing 'em around in class because I figured we should all focus on the tempering, it's such an important part of the blacksmith process, you know."

"I noticed," Seivarden said, although so far her impression was that most parts of it were important.

"I suppose I have to stop by with some tea and meet them."

Not that she needed an excuse to stop by with tea, but sometimes it was nice to have one.

"Do you think lobsters like tea?" asked Amaya, in the thoughtful sort of tone that suggested she was.going to find out anyway.

"Do you think they are civilised enough?"

That was the obvious answer, wasn't it?

"Does that mean," Amaya ventured, with what was the obvious response, "we'll have to get them little lobster gloves?"

They did have lobster gauntlets! Would those count?

"Do you really think they would last?"

Although now Seivarden tried to picture it.

Amaya took a thoughtful sip of her beer.

"Only one way to find out," she noted.
