Summer was honestly kind of hoping for a nice, normal night at the bar that Wednesday, especially following the events of last Wednesday, where the island was doing that thing, but she knew that was not going to happen very quickly into her shift, and that was all because of Tino's face.

"Seriously, though, why is your face like that? Is that supposed to be a smile? Why do you look like you totally just got--

"OhmyGOD.

"No, I don't want to hear the details! GOD."

Summer was going to try and work on the far side of the bar as much as possible tonight and was considering arming herself with a water bottle to spritz him with every time he passed by and tried to drop specifics in passing.

"You know what, Tino? On second though, I would at least like this lady's phone number so I can send her my condolances and recommend a good therapist."

Which...from what Summer did know or could assume, seemed a fair assessment, and her expression went sympathetic again. "The things we do for people we care about, right? At least it hasn't been too bad lately."

Which was immediately flowed by a roll of her eyes and a roll of her hand, "which means we're probably building up to something particular gross, blah blah blah so on and so forth, yadda yadda yadda. Either way, it is nice to see you in the bar again, so there's that. Also, there's something I need to talk to you about."

Lucifer picked up a jello shot.

"Really?" he said. "Go ahead, I'm listening."

"Okay, so," Summer started, "you remember that one time when you and Octavoa got stranded on Duke's boat off the coast of Georgia and I showed up with my portal gun to help save you guys and that poor sailor you roped into driving the whole thing from at least a few hours of seafaring goodness, and I said you can pay me back by doing me a favor in June for my birthday?"

"And it is now June," Lucifer filled in. "Yes, I remember, and yes, I am still willing to do you a favor. I take it you're about to tell me the details."

"Yes," Summer confirmed, proudly, because she thought this scheme was an pretty good one, and it had clearly been incubating for a while now. "My birthday's next Saturday. It's my 21st, you know, so kind of a big deal. And there was no way I could decide on just one bar to party at, so instead, I'm doing them all. Or, well, at least one in each major city around the country. And, of course, naturally, there's only one choice for what we're hitting in L.A...."

"Lux," Lucifer supplied very smugly. "Still the best place to be in Los Angeles, unless my brother has somehow ruined it in my absence."

"Check on that, please?" Summer suggested. "I can't have the last stop on the curcuit before heading back to Fandom be an unexpected hellhole."

"Also, I'll need legit VIP treatment. It is my birthday, after all."

"Naturally," Lucifer said, sitting back. "Are there any particular entertainers you'd like to be there for it?"

Being a well-connected Devil with a night club had its perks.

"I'll send you a list." Summer's attempt to give a very serious, business like nod was sort of spoiled by the fact that she was grinning as much as she was.

She figured that would help cull down an arduous discussion about any difference between whether or not certain entertainers existed in his dimension compared to hers. Also, she figured it was going to save her a lot of initial knee-jerk judgement, because, oh boy, Luce, get ready for a looooong list of electro-synth-pop EDM nu-disco indie rock R&B neo soul bullshit coming your way!
