Sure, Eric had the strength required to move it away again any time he liked, but it was the statement that mattered.

"Just for that," he added, "You can do the specials board while I rev up the best of metal piano, all right?"

His relationship with clarity about other people's emotions was best described as 'on-again, off-again'.

"Weirdness keeps it interesting" Dwight said simply. "Though I can see how human emotions would be something weird and vexing to untangle having no prior experience with it."

Lord knew he had gone through enough of a learning curve of his own over the years. He could only imagine what it was like trying to figure it all out from an outside vantage point.

"yeah human charm... trust me, not all of us are thrilled with it. We just kind of learn to live with it the best we can and make changes to what we are able to. Well some of us... some cant quite figure out a balance and end up.... well a certain other Havenite we know..."

Lucifer suggested. "Sounds like Duke figured out something none of the rest of you have."

"Yeah, some of us are a bit slower to learn and find what pursuits to follow. Living the pirate life isn't exactly appealing to all of us, though Duke has seemed to have done pretty good for himself. Maybe there is still some hope" Dwight said with a slight shrug.
