"I've decided I actually liked your improvisation last week," Lucifer told Tiny. He had to raise his voice a bit over the sound of the movers putting down an even bigger water feature in the axe range.

Sure, Eric had the strength required to move it away again any time he liked, but it was the statement that mattered.

"Just for that," he added, "You can do the specials board while I rev up the best of metal piano, all right?"

And that was the story of why SWIMMING POOL AND OTHER COCONUT COCKTAILS NOW 30 PERCENT OFF was the special tonight.

It was far too hot to be walking around town much, even as the sun was setting, but he needed to unwind a bit after working all day on his current project going on back at the shop. Dwight made his way to The Devil's Nest and walked in, after looking at the sign out front and being quite intrigued.

"Tiny piqued my interest, so it's a Swimming Pool Cocktail tonight. How are things?" Dwight said as he joined Lucifer at the Piano.

Lucifer looked up from the piano as soon as he noticed someone approaching, and--

Aw, it wasn't Duke come to lean against the piano again. Sigh.

"Tiny's still feeling very beachy," he said. "And apparently an overabundance of coconuts just materialized over the weekend."

"Well tis the season for beachy and tropical. And I guess if life hands you coconuts you make fruity cocktails."

"Very boozy ones," Lucifer agreed. "Not the most sophisticated, but Tiny did help inspire me last week, so there's that."

He waved his glass in the direction of the new water feature.

"I saw that when I came in. Very impressive must say" Dwight said giving the water feature another look over. "Permanent feature or just for the summer?"

"Oh, I suspect Eric is going to move it by the end of the week," Lucifer said. "If it were up to me, it'd be there indefinitely."

"No, he's far too attached to the axe range," Lucifer said, taking a sip of his drink. "I'm still not sure whether it's the Viking or the vampire in him, frankly."

It was the 'wanting to vex Lucifer' thing combined with the 'why does Lucifer keep vexing me' thing, actually.

"Well probably a little of both. I mean you can't ever really get that outdoorsman vibe out of someone. We outdoorsmen always love our axes, and toys and... well.. usually guns" Dwight said with a chuckle.

He crossed his arms over his chest and glared at Lucifer. "I hate you so much."

"It's classy," Lucifer informed him primly, "And some nights we can fill it with champagne instead."

Lucifer finally did half-turn to look at him. "Since when do you care about anything getting sticky?"
