Caritas- Tuesday
There was a two and a half-year-old at the bar tonight, because Clint was missing since last night and it was hard to find a babysitter when people and businesses kept disappearing. At least this was giving Kitty something to do besides worry.
Things like begging Lexi to sit in her chair and watch the cartoons that were on in the back room and stop wandering around, also please don't touch Tino, you don't know where he's been.
So yeah, she was worrying and also doing that.

She'd taken trips to the pond for much less.
It was bad enough that Blackstone went and got her shop and herself disappeared that day (and before Rosa could get her all set up to be bait so they could try to see it in action, the nerve of that woman!); she didn't need to wind up losing....the person who got her beer on Tuesdays, too!
There was a moment at the door for Rosa to flinch away anything that might resemble emotions rolling through her before she went to the bar, like she normally would, slumped into her usual spot, and just say "So this is fun," by way of greeting.
Although, truth be told, she actually had really enjoyed working with Miguel on trying to piece together the details, even if the progress hadn't been as quick as she'd like, but she wasn't about to just admit to that, either.

"Daddy's in a hole," Lexi piped up from her seat, clearly not really understanding what that meant. She was more concerned with trying and failing to make her barstool turn.

What? She was a Fandom kid, she could probably handle hard truths, right? Although, really, how old was Lexi now? Was she five yet? She'd be fine.
Her eyes shifted from Lexi back to Kitty, though, a speculative lift of her eyebrow. "I heard on radio," she said, which...had been...interesting. "But not much else about it. You didn't happen to see it, by any chance, did you?"
Yeah, yeah, yeah, her best friend's husband was stuck in a hole, some people might lean toward compassion in that instance, but Rosa didn't really know what that was, and if there was anything to help get him out of that hole, she was going to go with that route.

She cut herself off.
Groaned with a roll of her eyes that indicated that even she wanted to punch herself for what was about to come out of her mouth, but it was almost too late now.
"--holes."
She looked at Kitty pleadingly, like, yes, please, also hate her for that, she totally deserved it. She would be disappointed in your if you didn't hate her at least a little bit for it.

At least Lexi was cute. And mostly well-behaved.

"If there's anything left of them by the time we get there," she added. "I'm sure Clint's fighting like hell to get back to you guys, too."
Or, at least, he better be.

She did eventually find herself in the bar. "Hey, Kitty."

Lexi meanwhile was happily trying to push herself up on her barstool like she was going to climb onto the bar itself till Kitty shook her head at her.

"So I'm doing that good," Kitty nodded.

Sure it wasn't her Clint, but an Avenger was an Avenger.

Because he was an Avenger and also she wouldn't say otherwise in front of Lexi.

Those breakdowns had to be in private.

"Thank you for that attempt," Kitty laughed.
