This might have happened last year as well, but there was really no preparation for piercing alarms going off before the sun was even up.

At least it wasn't cold out. That was possibly the only thing that kept this from being the worse thing ever. That one thing there.

Because everything else sucked.

Don't mind the staring -- Irene was almost positive she'd met this guy before, and that he'd been a Fandom resident back when she was here prior, but she was having the hardest time placing him --

And then she caught his backside, and it snapped into focus. "Eric, right?"

From an orgy six years ago, of course.

"Probably not," Irene said with an answering smile. "I just wasn't sure whether I recognized you -- we attended the same party about six years ago."

A pause, a very conspicuous glance downwards. "Rather naked party, as I recall."

"Oh," Eric said with a little smirk. "I do like those. Hello again."

"Hi again," she replied, sticking out her right hand. "Irene."

And, confidentially, she added, "We didn't, for the record."

It had been a busy party, though.

"I'm immediately regretting that," Eric said.

"I have that effect on people," she replied with a bright smile. "Love the jammies, by the by."

"Oh, this old thing?" Eric said, doing a little spin. "I forgot I was wearing it."

"And here I thought you just wanted to give us all something nice to look at, if we must lose our sleep and hearing," Irene teased. "I was going to give you credit and everything."

She was gay, not blind, all right?

"I am a giver," Eric said, nodding, "so much so that I do it without thinking."
