It had been a good trip, distracting, and Seivarden had reminded herself that she probably shouldn't be surprised by the lack of civilised behaviour shown by the locals (past and present). Back at Caritas things got back to normal though, and normal right now for her was mostly miserable.

She actually tried though. She really did. She found a random drink list.

"Do they call it a mule," asked Amaya, as she made her way into the bar in a valiant attempt to return to being a Monday night regular and settled onto a stool, "because it's got a good kick?"

"That's a terrible pun, Amaya," Seivarden said with a grin. "But I'll make you one and you can decide for yourself."

"No such thing!" Amaya insisted, though she beamed proudly as if Seivarden had paid her the best compliment she could have (and, for a Daventrian, it sort of was!). "But that sounds perfect, Seivarden. Hook me up! I'm real curious about it now, and what else am I going to do, without beer on the specials board?"

"We do still serve it," Seivarden pointed out. "But this way I get to prove that I can actually make it."

She reached for the shaker.

"So did you enjoy the trip."

Don't mention the tea.

Amaya certainly wasn't about to mention the tea is Seivarden wasn't!

"I did," Amaya said, with a faint grin and a decisive manner, as if there was any question about it. "Real interesting stuff, and I've got some great ideas to start implimenting in the shop, including a new way to promote my business. Have you ever heard about this Etsy thing? I can't believe the opportunity I've missed out on!"

"No, what is it?"

Of course Seivarden hadn't heard about it.

"It's on online marketplace!" Amaya answered. "Specifically for handmade goods! I've been peeking around it a little, and I really think Irene might be onto something there. If anything, it'll be helpful when things get a little slow around here."

"That sounds perfect for you," Seivarden said, hoping it would give Amaya more opportunities to stay busy. "Irene?"

Well, just so long as Seivarden didn't start going off on what a shame it would be if she did up and relocate! There'd been more than enough of that for Amaya lately, thank you!

But she wouldn't likely mention leaving to Seivarden anyway, because she'd had enough crying about people leaving for...pretty much the rest of her life.

"Have you met 'er, yet?" she asked. "Fancy accent, fancy clothes?"

There were more ways Amaya could narrow it down, if she wanted to, but, clearly, she did not want to. For....reasons.

"She was on the trip, too," she offered instead. "Ran into her at that nice fancy market there, that's how it came up."
