Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty had spent the better part of her night so far dealing with a screaming toddler who didn't want to take her fairy wings off even though she had t even been told that she had to, and she was really hoping for a normal shift tonight.

At least the Halloween decorations were gone, and there were just construction paper leaves hanging from the ceiling. It looked a little like a first grade classroom but she'd take it.

Rosa dropping in for a few drinks was as normal as it could be, right?

"Good to see you're back to normal," she noted, taking her usual seat at the bar.

She might get to the decorations in a bit. Maybe.

"I'm so proud of you," Rosa said. "That must have been fun."

"Both," Rosa said, after a moment to think about it and realizing that either worked, one sarcastic, one sincere. "Although now I'm curious about how you managed to hold a cup of coffee as a blue fuzzy monster....if at all."
died8yearsago: (yup that sounds about right)

At least that Rosa could allow a sympathetic wince, but only slightly, because this was only making her even more grateful that nothing had happened to her that day.

"Back to normal now at least," she offered. "And you did manage the coffee, too. I'm pretty sure I'd have been a much scarier monster if it meant no coffee at all."

A beat.

"Actually," she realized, "I'd probably have been a much scarier monster regardless..."

Rosa could really only nod to that, because really.

Which meant her attention was now shifting to all the leaves, finger swirling in the air a little to indicate them.

"And the decorations?" she asked. "Lexi's doing, or Tino's? And how bad is it that I can't even tell."

Was she throwing shade at Tino's possible interior design? Praising Lexi's presumed artistic skill? Legitimately unable to discern which was which?

Yes.
