Tino had hung a poster board of a mechanical bull from the ceiling in the back room. So Kitty could visualize what it would look like to have one in there.

"You know this ends in at least one clinic visit," Kitty told him.

Tino was undeterred.


[I am tired. Open!]

"Any special discounts," asked Rosa, taking up her usual stool with an air of triumph, "for making a grown man cry? I have video evidence, too, if you need proof.

She'd been watching it pretty much all day. And it got funnier each and every time.

"Which man and what did you do?" Kitty asked.

"Some asshole I caught deleting body cam footage," said Rosa, to answer the first. As for the second? "And way better than he deserved."

"Okay, you get first round free for that," Kitty decided.

"Better make it a good one, then," Rosa decided, her smug pride firmly back in place as she decided to keep it simple, too, with a nice top shelf whiskey.

"So...that's been why weekend. How was yours?"

"After that Thursday where I made out with half the Perk things got pretty good," Kitty said, casual. "I got to set fires in class."

Anywhere outside of Fandom all of that was probably at least worth a head tilt.

"You made out with half the Perk?" asked Rosa, brow furrowing. "And all I got was a bunch of stupid drinks no one even wanted? I got shafted."

There was a pause.

"Setting fires is cool, though," she added, now wondering if it was too late to alter her lesson plans for tomorrow to involve more fire.

Blackstone, she assumed, would not object.

"It was the Danger Shop. And I had to be responsible about it," Kitty said. "But still, fireballs."

Now how could they work fireballs into weaponry?

They did have a decent amount of flamethrowers between the two of them, actually...

"So how'd that turn out?"

Yeah, yeah, yeah, danger shop, but come on. Even the danger shop had to allow at least a little bit of some good fireball stories!

"Pretty hot," she said. "But no one got hurt and it looked cool, so that's what's important."
