Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Tuesday [02/01].
The sandwich board from last week was (and, strictly speaking, had been out, since technically, Amaya was here every day in a very handwavey fashion, but details, details) definitely still out, and Amaya had spent the week making a good stock pile of damascus bars that she'd be turning into metal roses here soon enough, but she felt it wasn't necessary to get started on those quite yet, they were an easy enough project.
Today, it seemed, she was back on her axe bullshit, working hard on some new heads that were a bit smaller.
Good throwing axes, really.
No reasons.
The innocent whistling that seemed to accompany her work today as she seemed to be putting together a nice set up to have on hand should anyone, for whatever reason, continue to have issues with certain weapons at certain places and come to their senses about what could potentially be an endless supply of axes that weren't plastic or squeaky.
But what did she know? About axes, really....
The Forge is open!

handwavelydoing that entire week, he came bearing gifts of caffeine and sweets."Morning, Amaya!" he said with a nod, a smile of relief on his face to finally be in the warm forge rather than outside in the frigid cold.
"Got us our morning pick-me-ups. And ya got a little something else I worked on over the weekend at the shop too" he said nodding at the bag he sat down on the table by the goodies.

Whatever it was, she'd get to it in a second, because there was just a little bit more work to do on that bit before she could be full satisfied to set it aside for a break. Now that it was here, after all, it wasn't like the coffee was going anywhere!
...well, okay, that might not be entirely true, around here, but she was willing to take her chances that it wasn't about to sprout legs and run off on her.
Not today, anyway.

Bangs on a blacksmith really was a choice.
"I'll have to see what I can come up with for 'em," she noted with a grin, tools and axe set aside now and hands brushed against her skirt before coming over to reach for the coffee. "I like the idea of thinking of how to fit the piece to the hilt instead of the other way around for a change."

"Well, ya got three different styles in there to work with" Dwight said with a grin. "And got plenty of scrap wood left so if something works good and you want more made up in a particular style let me know. You ARE the weapons expert around here after all!" he added with a smirk.
And he was just going to let that complement hang there for a bit as he turned his attention to his own cofee.

"It's true," she agreed, with a confirming nod and a lift of her chin. "I am."
She lifted her coffee to toast to that, since, really, no point in denying straight facts, had a sip, and then helped herself to one of those cookies.
"Guess that makes you the counter expert," she noted, which didn't sound nearly impressive, but it was better than nothing?

"How are the axes coming along?" he asked after a few minutes of enjoying a cookie and his coffee.

Which was...you know...constantly busy, but she'll take what she could get!

And Dwight realy hoped he had not just jinxed them with that... but in his defense, Amaya HAD asked!

"That soon, huh?" she asked, looking mildly impressed, as if this hadn't been a project that had been a bit hemmed and hawed on in the last month or so. "Bit quicker than I'd thought, but that's great!"
Oh no, that would surely have jinxed it.
"But no complaints there."
So clearly that odd little twinge she felt right now was not disappointment, because that would just be absurd.

"Well, that's just an estimate of course. And once it's all finished and set up, if there's anything else you need fixed up... I mean" Dwight said, giving Amaya a slightly lopsided grin. "If there's anything else to do, might as well get it done while I have somewhat of a shop set up here to handle things. Right?"
Ya know, efficiency. That was obviously the point here! There was absolutely no other reason why he would suggest such a thing! And that little twinge of whatever it was? That had nothing at all to do with anything... he was pretty sure.
