Summer never needed an excuse for a random-ass theme to her jello shots, but sometimes, she did like to take one and run with it, so she was definitely going to blame helping Tisarwat and Lucille yesterday move for her inspiration this Wednesday.

Tino wearing a monocle and a tophat was, she assumed, unrelated, but she honestly did not care to find out.

"Well, hello there." Did someone say free booze? Because here was a pirate who loved free booze.

"Hi!" said Summer, who always did love a well-placed hello there, especially when paired with a mostly unfamiliar face, and she shifted into her best bartender mode with a grin and a lean of an elbow on the bar. The only thing missing was a towel to toss over her shoulder. "How's it going? What can I get for you?"

"Marvellously. Think I'll go with the classics and ask for something with rum," Isabela said.

"Are we talking liquid drinks," Summer checked, because sometimes she was never sure with the newer faces, "or one of the specials? 'Cause with the specials, I can do you one better and offered two that have rum, the Long Island and the Chai, and you should never just have one of the shots anyway."

What was even the fucking point?

Had it been that long that Isabela's reputation had faded from memory? "Of course I'm talking about the specials."

"Better answer," Summmer offered out with a grin, and, lo and behold, Isabela and her diminishing reputation had herself two rum-tastic jello shots, "would have been both, but I can take that one for now."

She nodded toward the stage.

"We offer free ones for karaoke, too," she suggested, since she didn't think she saw Isabela ~~on the sign-ups~~ at the activity that week.

Give a girl time to work up to bad ideas, Summer.

Okay that was enough time.

"What a co-incidence," Isabela said, picking up one of the shots. "Free happens to be my favourite price."

Pffft. The quicker the ideas, the more you can squeeze in!

"Then the stage," Summer said, looking pleased, because she would never not encourage terrible (pr who knew? Maybe amazing!) karaoke, "is going to love you.

"So," she ventured, now that potential freebies were definitely in play, "what's your name? I'm not sure we've met."

"Isabela," she said, tossing back that first shot. "Captain Isabela."

"Captain, huh?" asked Summer, sounding suitably impressed. "Are we talking military? Boats? Spaceships? None of the above?"

"A ship. Pirate ship to be precise." In case the very non-uniform clothes weren't enough of a giveaway.
