"So what exactly constitutes a 'slushy type drink'?" asked Rosa, always one to confirm a narrative, as she took her usual place at the bar.

Kitty looked to Tino fur an explanation.

Tino shrugged.

"What help are you," Kitty told him.

"I've been telling you for years now," probably, "that that guy is useless."

Kitty maintained eye contact with Tino as she sighed. A really long-suffering sigh.

Tino was impervious to criticism.

"I'm saying slushy-type is anything daiquiri-like," Kitty said.

"I could go for a daiquiri," Rosa decided...after giving Tino a good solid glare for a few moment for good measure.

Rosa did trust very few people with surprises, after all.

"So... slushy type?" Connor asked as he took a seat and glanced back to the sign. "That doesn't happen to include Pina Coladas does it?" he asked with a somewhat hopeful look.

"I would say that pina coladas are appropriately slushy so I'll allow it," Kitty decided.

"Awesome!" Connor said with probably a bit too much enthusiasm for what he was getting excited about. "I'll take one then, please."

And then because he couldn't help himself he had to ask. "Is this a normal type of deal ya run? The whole half-off special?"

"Not always. It kind of depends on what we're feeling that week," she said, gathering ingredients. "We don't do it all the time, but there's usually some kind of discount, sometimes 25%, sometimes first round free..."
