Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

It had been another week of Rey trying and failing to contact Luke (the dead one), she was trying not to be too frustrated. After all, he was dead. Maybe it wasn't her fault that it wasn't working. Even though it felt like her fault that it wasn't working.

She'd started meditating a while ago and was still at it, sitting cross-legged on the floor with her eyes closed while BB-8 rolled his way around the warehouse.

"What do I need?" Rey asked.

"If I say patience, will you hit me?" Anakin asked.

"Of course not," she said. "...How much patience?"

"A little more," Anakin said. "I requires patience and absolute calm."

"I can do that," Rey said. "I might have thought I was doing that."

"Show me," Anakin urged.

"Show you... patience?" she asked.

"Show me how you were trying to reach a Force ghost," Anakin said.

Because Luke would definitely want to show up for both of them.

If this worker, it would solely be for Luke to wtf over how embarrassing this was.

Because Rey felt not self-conscious at all as she said, "Master Skywalker, I really need to speak to you. Please."

Aaaand nothing.

"This is awkward," Anakin said after a long moment of silence.

"This is why I've been trying this by myself," Rey told him.

"C'mon, Luke, show up," Anakin said in the least patient voice possibly ever.

"Don't pressure him," Rey told him.

[sith_happened]

"It's not like he has a ton of other things going on," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"If I felt like I was about to be yelled at, I wouldn't show up either," Rey pointed out.

[sith_happened]

"He's not being yelled at," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"But you're certainly not giving off patience," Rey said.

[sith_happened]

"I think it would worry Luke more if I was," Anakin Skywalker, Giant Hypocrite, said airily.

"Yes, but if I'm supposed to be calm and you aren't..."

Because giant hypocrite.

"We balance each other out?"

ANAKIN.

"I don't think this is going to work this time," Rey decided.

[sith_happened]

"I blame Luke," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Then I guess I have my answer to my question."

She fully believed it was her fault though.

"What did you want to ask him?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"I just wanted to talk," she said. "He's been on my mind a lot lately."

Which was the truth. And since Silver left, he was the only person Rey could talk to without worrying she was going to ruin absolutely everything about how people saw her.
