Caritas- Tuesday

It was experiment night at the bar! This was actually one of Kitty's favorite things and they didn't do it enough. Today she'd brought in a bag of fruit snacks (sorry, Lexi) and she and Tino were doing their best to recreate the flavors in drinks.

"I think we need to rely less on blue curacao," Kitty warned, trying the drink anyway.

"What'a a good drink for not being a panther anymore?" asked Rosa, who shunned your notions of dramatic, awkward transformation posts and preferred to focus on the important things that having thumbs again could do, like holding alcoholic drinks.

"That sounds like either a double Diaz-" Meaning two. "-or an experimental jolly rancher," Kitty said.

"Or both," Rosa decided.

Meaning three.

Though she did pass over a curious, perhaps mildly doubtful look.

"What's experimental about it?"

"What's experimental is that we're guessing what it tastes like," she answered.

There was a small, considering pause.

"Alright," Rosa nodded. "That seems safe enough."

Hey, you can't blame her for being a little cautious when a word like 'experimental' got thrown around in this place. She'd just finished being feline; she'd like to ensure staying human for at least another twenty four hours if it could be helped.

"Coming right up," Kitty said, starting on a Diaz. "So a panther, huh?"

"A panther," Rosa confirmed with another nod. "I will give the island credit where it's due. When it turns me into an animal for a week, at least it's an appropriately awesome one."

"You're lucky on that," Kitty said, sliding her drink in front of her. "I can't do any damage when I change."

"But I'll bet you're adorable," Rosa guessed, lifting the glass in appreciation before taking a sip.

"That makes it worse," Kitty agreed.

"Come on," Rosa snorted faintly. "You can pull off adorable."

"I'm a kitten. I don't even get a real roar," Kitty complained.

And now you weren't helping things at all, Kitty, by having Rosa now picturing that kitten's best attempt at a roar.

Hiding a smirk behind her glass, she lifted a shoulder in a shrug. "You make up for it more than enough normally."

"Thank you. This is why you get three drinks," Kitty told her, already at work on the fake jolly ranchers thing.

"And here I thought," said Rosa, though that hint of a grin was appreciative, "it was because I pay for them sometimes."

"Occasionally. But mostly it's compliments," Kitty teased.
