Tino had come in prepared for another day of letting the masses try his homemade Malort. He'd even come with a Malort punch. Don't ask what was in the punch. Malort was bad enough, don't torture yourself with ingredients.

Jaye put up with it just long enough till he went to take a phone call, and then she ran the vat of punch into the alley out back and rushed back to the bar before he got back.

She saved you all. You're welcome.

Ignore the trail of sloshed Malort on the floor.

Maybe an hour or so after opening Marc showed up. He sat at the bar and, when opportunity arose, pointedly cleared his throat in Jaye's direction.

"Gasp," Jaye said, making her way over. "I thought 'Steven' was busy Saturdays."

"I locked him in a tower," Marc replied.

Which wasn't even remotely near the truth. But saying Steven had nagged him ("You've only to ask, Marc, honestly!") didn't sound as good.

"It's been a while," Marc said instead. "You still serve alcohol here?"

Michael looked over and lifted his chin in a silent greeting.

Marc looked back. Okay, new to him at least but that didn't necessarily mean anything. Marc gave a silent nod back.

"Hello, Marc." Stark wasn't expecting much conversation but he ought to at least say hello.

At least Stark was someone Marc didn't mind talking to? "Didn't mind" was often as close to enjoyment as Marc got with these things, so the sentiment needed to be graded on a curve. "Stark. Hey. How's your weekend going?"

Marc asked this with the tone of someone who wouldn't be surprised if the response was that something was up.

Michael frowned down at the drips on the floor as he came in.

"Interesting standard of cleanliness you all have around here."

And he hadn't even seen the zombies yet.

"Oh trust me," Jaye said, "it was worse before."

She was going to pull a couple paper towels off a roll, step on them, and walk to the other side of the bar to clean up a little.

"Just a minute."

"Take your time," Michael told her, leaning against the bar. "Was there a fight in here or something?"

So this week? Had been a lot. And now Prompto was fully dealing with the realization that ten years of endless night really did a number on your circadian rhythms, too. So, instead of feeling restless and, honestly, a little bit trapped with everything that had been thrown at him in just the past few days, he slipped out into the odd comfort of the night while Liz slept (leaving a note, of course, lest she freak out if she woke up and found him not there)...and the bizarre nostalgic familiarity of the whole island and how little time had passed while he was gone.

Eventually, that lead him into Caritas, where a drink (or several) sounded....pretty fucking good right now, if he was honest.

"Hey," he nodded as he slid into a seat at the bar. "Can I get a beer? Doesn't matter, whatever's good, I guess..."

But, as soon as he said it, another thought hit him: "Actually, no, you got any of those pumpkin ales in yet? It's about that time of year now, isn't it?"

He was definitely going to have finally cave in for a PSL tomorrow, for sure.

"You want the pumpkin on purpose?" Jaye double checked, and she did find him one right away, but she sort of looked like she needed an answer to that before she handed it over.

"I like the pumpkin," said Prompto, grin a little sheepish and he shrugged a shoulder. "At least, I used to. It's...kind of been a while."

His tastebuds could have changed a lot, either from time or just being acclimated to whatever he'd been surviving on.

"Festive," Michael noted, giving the guy a bro-esque nod. "That stuff any good?"

Prompto looked like himself still (questionable facial hair choices aside), so he was recognizable.

"Welcome back."

Local wildlife were going to be making some choices they would regret in that alley, weren't they? It would serve some of the raccoons right.

Stark didn't usually come in on Saturdays. Last week was an exception. This week could be an exception as well. It was something to do when he had no plans, at least.

"No malort specials tonight?"

"Don't say it too loud, he might hear you," Jaye hissed.

Michael whistled through his teeth and pointed. "Now that is a look."

Connor was still getting into something resembling a normal routine. And while he had no trouble kicking back and taking it easy, socializing was still a bit of a step for him. So, there he was, showing up at some point that night, and making his way to the bar.

"Hey," he said with a nod as he took a seat. "Can I get a Gin and Tonic?"

Well hello, guy who was basically exactly Michael's physical type. Michael watched him with a little smirk, then nudged his hat's brim up with his beer.

"Howdy."

"Are you sure about that? Two ingredients means I have to call Tino back."

It was not that much work to put together a gin and tonic, but she did not want to set precedent, and also she just didn't want to.

Lana had had a bit of a day, even if it was a good one, so a drink sounded like a good idea. She nodded to Jaye. "Whiskey, please. Something decent but not top-shelf."

Jaye really didn't know much about whiskeys, but she did make a little show over choosing one that was really at random before bringing it out to pour.

"Here to break up the sausage fest?" Jaye asked.

Michael flicked her a smile and a hat tip.

“Glad to see this isn’t just a bro bar.”

Marc spotted Lana and headed in her direction. "What's the verdict?"

Some people said hi. This was Marc so... yeah.
