Pizza Planet; Wednesday Afternoon [09/28].
The Aunties had indeed descended upon Graham that weekend, and, even though he felt it wasn't nearly as bad as Charlie made it out to be, he certainly felt no qualms about holding her to the promise of pizza for all this troubles! And his excitement made him a little bit early, but that was fine, because it could have all too easily have gone the other way, where his excitement lead to him being easily distracted by all sorts of things, and he would have wound up late, and that would be no good.
This way, at least, he could at least attempt to try and figure out a good pizza strategy while he waited for Charlie, although, really, this could only lead to him wanting to order a pizza that was pretty much heaped with a little bit of everything, because it was sometimes just really hard to decide!
It didn't help that he was definitely hungry, and had been looking forward to this pretty much since Friday!
[[ and Graham's here for Charlie, but post is definitely open for all your lightly modded Pizza Planet needs! ]]

She checked her watch, "Okay, I'm not late. I thought I would be, but I wanted to make sure I didn't make you wait, but here you are before me anyway.'
She beamed at him. "Are you ready for pizza? Because I know I am!"
no subject
Haha, yup! That was definitely it, just needed to warm up to be extra ready for pizza, not because particularly excited and had all buy been watching the clock until it was almost time so that he didn't miss any of it, or anything!
"Do you have an idea of what you'd like?" he asked. "I've been giving it very careful thought, and, I have to admit, the artichokes are looking exceptionally articulate today! But they do seem to be out of misery and regret, unfortunately. I know you were looking forward to some of those."
no subject
If Charlie could have read the narrative she would have thought he was awfully sweet, but since she couldn't she just thought, well, that he was awfully sweet.
"I must admit that artichokes are not high on my list, though I'm happy to have them if you want. I'm pretty happy with most pizza toppings: sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, green peppers. Oh, and extra cheese is always nice."
She smiled at him. "No misery and regret? So sad. What about remorse and sadness?"
no subject
At this point, he couldn't hold back his grin. "If not, though, I think extra cheese and all that sounds amazing!"
Then there was a moment as his curiosity got the better of him and he had to then ask, "What song did you sing? In exchange for your pizza?"
no subject
Once she was back seated she considered the question. "It was pirate day so I went with a sea shanty. Let me think. Oh yes, it was "Leave her Johnny". A very fun song with a good chorus to sing along with. I mostly offered for fun, but who was I to argue when he took me up on it?"
no subject
"You'll have to teach it to me sometime," Graham decided with a nod. "And if a song from just one person managed to work last, maybe we'll have even better luck with two people singing! But probably not much more after that. Once word gets out that this place does deals on pizza for songs, they'll probably be run right out of business before long!"
no subject
She grinned at him. "It was on radio, but I don't think anyone else has tried to trade a song for a pizza so far. Which reminds me, I'm going to have to try to do memorable things on Thursdays so you'll have to talk about me on Fridays now!"
no subject
Thursdays were pretty good for naps, though, it was true.

Sure, Graham was still getting a kind of pie right now, with a pizza pie, but everyone knew that was not the same, and it was always a bit of a sad occasion, knowing there had been pie that had been missed.
"What kind of charms did they have?"
no subject
There were so many possibilties. "There's clean your room, make your bed, wear clean underwear, don't laze about in bed, do your homework, get to class on time, and don't mouth off for starters. Oh, and there's always a call your mom in them."
no subject
But she'd said it, he heard it, with his own two ears (which didn't miss much!), and now she was going to be beholden to it.
(Mwa ha ha).
And then that pleased somewhat smirk of scheming turned into a little bit of a chuckle.
"Well?" he then prompted, quirking a dubious eyebrow at Charlie. "Did you call your mom?"
no subject
This was Graham afterall, so she didn't suspect anything terrible, but that little bit of a smirk... What had she said? Did he think it was funny that the pies were charmed?
no subject
"Look?" he asked, and then the surprise was replaced by embarrassment, the red starting to migrate from his ears to his cheeks, as he rubbed the back of his neck. "What look?"
Had he had a look on his face? About the pies? He did get very excited about pies....
And now he was nervously laughing. "Oh, no," he said. "That wasn't a look, that's probably just....uh, my....face..."
no subject
The server slid their pizza in front of them and offered to refill their drinks.
"Thank you," Charlie said, handing over her glass, then turned back to Graham. "So... pies?"
no subject
He chuckled again, hand still on the back of his neck. "Yes," he said. "Pies. I...really like pies, Charlie. I'm not sure you know what you're in for, giving me an open-door policy for pies."
Well, maybe if they were all really, really charmed and he couldn't have them, but he might just be willing to suffer those consequences.

"I could probably eat all those pies," he mused confidently. "Especially if it would be helping you to do so! That's just the sort of valiant quest that I, as a future knight, would be honored to take up, for the sake of a fair maiden!"
